For the riders looking to spend more time in the park than out of it, the Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard is made for you. At the end of the day, the park isn't a serious place, and Rome agrees, so you don't have to drop serious dollars to get a board that holds it down. With freepop rocker, bambooster technology, and glass stringers, the Garage Rocker is built for the park, but turns groomers into a ragin' good time. If you want a board that stays poppin' like champagne and keeps you crackin' like pistachios, the Rome Garage Rocker is for you, Bad Mon.
Rocker Type
Freepop Rocker - Flat underfoot with rocker in the nose and tail for balance, butter, and float. For all-mountain freestyle riders and pow surfers, this camber profile combines equal parts fun and float.
Shape
True Twin - Everything about these boards is twin - flex, shape, stances. The nose is the tail, and the tail is the nose. Whoa.
Quickrip Sidecut - Off-set sidecuts for loose fun at slow speeds, and responsive precision at high speeds
Core
TTT Core Matrix - 100% Wood core from nose-to-tail. Classic snap with continuous flex. There's a reason Rome still use wood cores - wood rules!
Glass Reverse V Stringer Technology - Reverse-V pattern with a slight radius channels power into ollies and nollies with minimal torsional rigidity
Bambooster Technology - Strip of bamboo down the centerline of board for a bit more ollie and nollie kick. Now it's kickin' like karate
Laminates
StraightBiax Laminate - An insanely light biax pattern keeps the torsional flex smooth and fun, complementing the added pop and response in boards with TurboRods.
Base
XTRD Base - Fast enough for most riders, standard of simplicity that stands up to everyday riding. Strong and easy to fix
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
