Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard - Blem 2014

The ultimate freestyle board designed for the snowboarder who can't get enough park riding in a days time and sets up an urban jib park in his backyard jibbing late into the night. The playful Romel Garage Rocker Snowboard makes buttering down the mountain an art form. Rome's Freepop Rocker extends the flat camber section 5 cm wider than the inserts allowing for more stable landing power without giving up the playfulness of rocker in the nose and tail. The Garage Rocker rocks in the park and in the powder. **This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.**
Rocker Type
FreePop Rocker - A flat camber-and-rocker combo where the flat camber section extends 5 cm wider than the inserts. The extended flat section gives more versatile response and allows for edge control and smooth landings, while the rocker in the nose and tail give float in powder and smooth style on rails.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A softer flex for a more playful feel.
Shape
True Twin - Everything from the center of the board out towards the nose and tail is exactly the same. Perfect for riding switch
QuickRip Sidecut - Advanced sidecut geometry gives a short, playful feel at slower speeds and a longer, faster and more stable feel at higher speeds. The mid-board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.
Core
Bambooster Technology: Centerline - A 4mm rod of bamboo is milled into the center of the core. Using bamboo is an eco-friendly way to load up energy which give you the pop for doing ollies.
TTT Core Matrix - Rome's 100% Wood core for a classic snap with flex.

Laminates
StraightBiax Laminate - Laminate that optimizes smooth flexing and is designed for freestyle riding

Glass Reverse V Stringer Technology - Strips of laminated fibers add response and boosts ollies without unwanted torsional stiffness.
Base
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
XTRD Base - Standard base fast enough for most riders and durable enough for everyday use while still strong and easy to maintain
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
