Rome Factory Rocker Snowboard 2013

The entire mountain is your terrain park with the Rome Factory Rocker Snowboard. We're gonna rock out with our sidecut out due to the QuickRip Sidecut giving rock-star quality performance at both high and slow, speeds. Combine high speed stability with jump-friendly mobility and you have a formula for all-mountain mayhem.
Rocker Type
MtnPop Rocker - Rocker between the feet with positive camber in the nose and tail. For some riders, this is the best of both worlds—plenty of float in powder and playfulness between the feet, and plenty of power and responsiveness to pop off lips and rip turns from the positive camber in the nose and tail.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A medium flex to cover a large spectrum of terrain and demands from the rider
Sidecut
QuickRip Sidecut - Advanced sidecut geometry gives a short, playful feel at slower speeds and a longer, faster and more stable feel at higher speeds. The mid-board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.

True Twin for easy switch riding.
Core
PopCore Matrix - Low density wood in two zones through the board for a lightweight profile with a flexible poplar matrix
Laminates
Bambooster Dual Inline Technology - Two bamboo rods running under the bindings and out through the nose/tail, both longitudinally and torsionally, add an unprecedented amount of power.
StraightBiax - Designed for the fun and creative rider, this laminate has a forgiving response through presses, jumps and jibs.
Glass V Stringer Technology - Added for longitudinal and torsional power, these stringers add an extra boost of high energy pop.
Base
XTRD - The standard of simplicity that is durable, quick, and made to stand up to the everyday beating—a 1.45 abrasion resistance holds strong and is easy to fix.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Comments about Rome Factory Rocker Snowboard 2013:

This board is great for all around mountain riding. Rides a little different then a camber board in the flats, but has lots of forgiveness on landing jumps and switch riding. I noticed it runs a little slow on slushy days in the flat spots, not as fast as a camber board. But what you give up in speed you gain in playfulness and versatility. Great for all occasions.
