Rome Artifact Snowboard 2014

Rome's team riders trust the Rome Artifact Snowboard for all their rails, ledges, and boxes; we think that means you should too. Camber throughout the board gives The Artifact a locked in feel on rails and a poppy feel for ollies. Rule the park with this all around shredder.
Rocker Type
Stay Positive Camber - Positive camber from contact point to contact point. If you like a board that you can load up and release off the lip of a jump, or a tail you can count on off a big step-down, this is the camber for you. Or if you like to pop from edge to edge, ditto. Whether tuned softer for jib boards or tuned stiffer for all-mountain boards, nothing gives that electric feel and kick back like Stay Positive Camber.

Shape
True Twin - Everything from the center of the board out towards the nose and tail is exactly the same. Perfect for riding switch
Core
Impact Core Matrix - 40% Wood fiber material in a composite, which extends the durability of the core for a smooth flex that is environmentally conscious.

Glass Single Barrel Hotrod Technology - A 4 mm glass HotRod inserted in the core for adding more pop into your ollies and nollies. Milled into the center of the board from the inserts to the center of the contact points, nothing can deliver more explosions from under your feet to where you load ollies and nollies.
Laminates
Glass Impact Plates - Thin reinforcements beneath your bindings to increase strength against core compression caused by bindings
StraightBiax Laminate - Laminate that optimizes smooth flexing and is designed for freestyle riding

Base
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Impact Base - Constructed of the strongest abrasion-resistant compound, this advanced base technology will hold up through a full season of taking a beating from rails, rocks, and trees.
Edges
Quickrip Sidecut - Two additional mid-board contact points between off-set sidecuts for added grip at high speeds. Or, engage the inner contact points at slower speeds for a playful, shorter feeling board with control. QuickRip is a Rome signature technology for power when riding fast and extra fun when slowing things down.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
