Rome Anthem Snowboard 2013

Like 50,000 lighters in the stadium at once, the Rome Anthem Snowboard is a true arena performer. With Carbon Single Barrel Hot Rods running from tip to tail, you get added pop while the board stays light and responsive. The Directional Twin shape is perfect for landing switch or just good 'ol all-mountain riding. From power carving to powder surfing to park sampling, it offers you the power you need to rock out your venue.
Rocker Type
Stay Positive Camber - The super responsive, high-pop feel that only all-around positive camber can deliver

Flex
Flex Rating: 9 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A very stiff flex for powerful turns and lightning quick response
Sidecut
Directional Twin - Good for those who ride all-mountain, from groomers to park
Core
AirPop Core Matrix - Heavy on the non-heavy side of the spectrum (it's superlight) with five zonal regions of low density wood mixed with poplar for high energy transmission and a responsive reaction
HotRods: Carbon Single Barrel - Super light and responsive, a single rod of carbon in the center of the nose and tails adds ollie and nollie pop without adding any torsional stiffness.
Laminates
StraightTriax45 Laminate - The laminate that covers all the bases, from the park to all-mountain peaks, the 30-degree off-axis fibers set the personality of the board to flex into low speed butters and pop into high speed takeoffs. It provides some extra kick in a slash and maintains your style while getting creative on and off the trails.
Pressure Pop Technology: Kevlar V - Found in high-end boards with fast power transfer from the bindings to your contact points with the snow, it's a lethal combination of ultra-light material and highly responsive snap.
PowerBars: Carbon V - More power, more energy and more carbonation. Pre-formed bands of lightweight carbon guarantee pop in powder.
Kevlar Impact Plates - The sweet spot is under the bindings. With all that abuse, the Kevlar in these plates protects your top sheet and transforms chatter, torque and compression into concentrated pop.
Base
SinterSpeed Base - Bomb hills and straight-line runs. By absorbing the most wax a base can handle, this ultra porous sintered technology creates a board with maximum speed output, and minimal input.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

Comments about Rome Anthem Snowboard 2013:

amazing! it's incredibly fast and incredibly stable. rides extremely smooth no matter how fast you're going. i've ridden it twice now and have not caught a single edge even when keeping a flat base. rides amazing on any snow condition. i ripped through many moguled out trails and this thing handled it beautifully. and it also carves extremely well.

Comments about Rome Anthem Snowboard 2013:

This board is fast...really fast. If you like to blaze down the mountain, this is your board. At high speeds and super high speeds it's as smooth as you can get. No muss, no fuss whatsoever.
This board is not for beginners, though it's more for someone who is an intermediate rider looking to go up to the next level. Turning is not the easiest, but once you get the hang of it its really responsive and quick.
I did not try this board in the park as that is not my skill set. It is a bit stiff but still some what flexible.
Bottom line: If you like speed you can't go wrong with this board.

Comments about Rome Anthem Snowboard 2013:

Take my 5 star rating with a grain of salt because i have not ridden it yet because it's still September. but the board seems to be well made and you can't argue with a 2 year warranty when most other big name companies only offer a 1 year warranty. i'm not a very good barometer though because my previous board i've been riding i've had since 2000 and technology has changed so much since then so i'm sure i'm gonna love the Anthem. my brother got a Rome Agent last year and he's ridden both my old board and the Agent and he absolutely loves the Agent. hope that helps your decision making.
