Ride DH2 Snowboard 2012: If you’re looking for your go-to rig this winter, look no further than the Ride DH2 Snowboard. Ride’s new Hybrid Twin design is sure to make this into a board that you will feel comfortable to ride anything and everything on. Micro-rocker in the tip and tail will give you a lighter than air feel when surfing through the pow while Pop Rods® and micro-camber underneath your feet will give you that extra pop in the park. This feature-packed hybrid beauty is sure to have you wondering is there’s anything it can’t do.
Flex
7 (1 softest-10 stiffest)
The mid-high flex rating creates a versatile machine that could take on anything from the pow to the park.
Construction and Core
Thin Construction features a tapered tip and tail to reduce swing weight, enhanced tip flex, and sidewalls that run past the effective edge.
Hybrid glass offers balanced torsion and stiffness for better response with speed.
Pop Rods® 2.0 technology provides supreme pop and snap.
Carbon Array 5™ technology places carbon stringers in the binding zones to gather rider input and maximize board control.
Shape
Hybrid Twin Shape features micro-rocker in the tip and tail and micro-camber between the feet to offer both a smooth and surfy feel in the powder as well as a poppy and snappy feel in the park. The True-Twin design lets you go big in the park and land switch without the fear of rocker washout.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
The virtually indestructible 85A Slimewalls® sidewall technology wins on impact absorption and smooth contact with the slope.
Fusion 4000 Base™ is hard and durable giving you one of the fastest base materials out there (sintered).
Cleave Edge™ is durable, equipped with 50% more steal for unmatched resistance and cracking prevention.

Comments about Ride DH2 Snowboard 2012:

I've been riding for about 17 years, and I have yet to find a board that has performed for me as well as the Ride Dh2. Having perviously owned a Standard DH, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hybrid camber did not force the board to lose the pop and stability I was used to. Still solid underfoot like a traditional cambered board, but the lowrise gives float and helps me "cheat" a bit on riding. I've had two knee surgeries, and the slimewalls really help to dampen vibrations, given me a smoother ride. Just about the perfect board!

Comments about Ride DH2 Snowboard 2012:

        Hey There,
I have been riding since 1989 and while I still ride park and pipe I first learned how to turn properly before learning any tricks and did some slaloms and boardercross race so my point being.... I know how to put a board on rail!

I was super sceptical as other boards with any rocker in them just washed out for me on hard pack but man this thing is a ginsu! I weight 190lbs and am 6ft tall and bought the 158 as board for park/hard-pack sessions and for small to medium size turns. It carves super smooth and solidly holds an edge. The long effective edge of the board, 124 for the 158 I think also helps it to ride so well for its length.

However if you are my weight and can only afford one board (I have a 162 Gnu AG for freeriding) I would go 160 or 162 as I found the 158 a bit short when taking it off a groomed trail in even a little powder (nose diving), plus the being a twin with short lift in the nose as a result did not help!
If you are an old school guy who wants something that feels like your old camber board you can't go wrong with this board. So yeah, hope this review helps.
        Cheers,
        Roland

Comments about Ride DH2 Snowboard 2012:

The hybrid camber in this board makes it ride and feel like a regular camber board, but with the float in pow of a reverse camber. If you are a resort rider who takes hot laps in the park, but take it to the backcountry too, this board can handle everything that you can throw it.
