Nitro Quiver Rail Snowboard 2015

Nitro Shop all Nitro
For those that scope out city lines and rails during all seasons of the year, the Nitro Quiver Rail Snowboard, a product of evo rider Austin Smith and Bryan Fox, is built to satisfy your needs. The Quiver Rail is a Zero Camber board, which is becoming the standard for park and urban riders, known for allowing massively tweaked out presses and comfortable grinds. Combined with a Whiplash Core Profile, you'll have enough snap to ollie onto the extra tall rails and with RailKiller Edge Technology, you can jib away knowing your board is protected. Take over the city in the Nitro Quiver Rail Snowboard.
Rocker Type
Zero: The Everybody Camber - If reverse camber is too loose and standard camber is too stiff, then Zero camber is the solution you have been looking for. This highly versatile profile allows you to enjoy the benefits of both camber and reverse camber, without sacrificing response, for playfulness and vice-versa. Zero camber is quickly becoming the profile of choice for park and urban riders worldwide.
Flex
Urban: Smooth and Loose - These ultra flexible boards can be tweaked any way you like, from rails to butter tricks, and they won't wash out on you.
Shape
Twin - The board is completely symmetrical from tip to tail with an even flex pattern.
Radial Sidecut - A single radius design that allows your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc. Centered stance.
Core
PowerCore II: Enhanced Performance and Extra Strength - The Powercore II is a tip-to-tail poplar wood core with additional beech wood stringers for unrivaled strength, smooth response and insane snap.
Whiplash Core Profile: Maximum Ollie Power - This profile features reduced thickness between the inserts with added meat outside your feet for maximum ollie power, while maintaining a perfect press flex.
Laminates
Bi-Lite Laminate: Forgiving and Strong - Nitro's rider-trusted Bi-Lite Laminates are engineered for unrivaled strength, powerful style and refined board-feel.
Base
Sintered Speed Formula HD: High Definition - High Density - High Durability - Utilizing a new base material compound, Nitro has been able to achieve higher abrasion resistance, increased wax absorption and higher on-snow speeds. All in an ultra clear package for extra crisp graphics.
Edges
Railkiller Edge - Durably constructed edges that will withstand the park for seasons to come. Railkiller Edges have a unique thicker profile making them stronger compared to standard edges. You can file them yourself or ride them super hard to dull-off naturally for catch-free sessions to come.
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Insert Pattern

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Flat
    Flat
A flat profile is just as you’d expect – flat from near the tip of the board to near the tail. This shape splits the difference between camber and rocker, with more forgiving turnability than a fully cambered board and more precise edging capability than a fully rockered one
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
