Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2013

The Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard is the perfect choice for winning King-of-the-Hill contests, clearing road gaps, and launching freestyle moves in big mountain settings like Alaska and Jackson. It comes in two tip shapes: blunt for the shorter sizes (150, 153 & 157) and pointy for the larger ones (161.5, 164.5). C2 Power Banana/Camber Combo profile, H-Pop Core and Axis Inversion Fiberglass round out the package.
Rocker Type
C2 Power Banana Camber (C2 BTX) - Rocker between your feet blended with a radial camber to contact points focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice, and a solid amount of pressure to the tip and tails for power end-to-end stability, pop, and maximum control in critical situations while maintaining float.

Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6-7 depending on size
Shape
True Twin - A symmetrical shape for equally precise performance riding regular or switch.
Core
H-Pop - Wood Alloy Core is made from experimental new dead trees with the highest compression response ever used in a snowboard. It has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight. Another industry first for Lib Tech.
Laminates
Axis Inversion Fiberglass
Sidewalls
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - The same futuristic power 90º pop technology from Lib Tech's world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines, only this time Lib Tech has placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction: stronger, more pop, and more control.
Double Sintered UHMW Sidewalls - Twice as sintered as any other sidewall: tough, handsome, and light
Base
Sintered UHMW - Super tough base material that holds wax well due to its compression formed amorphous polymer structure
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Factory de-tuned to Travis' specs!
Topsheet
Bio-Plastic Beans - A bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry
Graphics
Carl Smith and Mike Parillo collaborated on these outstanding topsheet designs, Carl supplying the digital collages and Mike enhancing them with multiple layers of acrylic and oil.
Additional Features
Correct Sandwich Construction - SUPER LIGHT SPIN WEIGHT! The perfect blend of pickles and mustard: UHMW sidewalls and Power Transfer Internal sidewalls

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2013:

This was my favorite board I demoed this year. It was way more playful than I thought it would be, but it still ripped when trying to turn on scratched over groomed runs after pointing it. It was loose and light, so you could pop off little bumps on the trail, spin quick. repeat. It was so fun. I've heard people flapping gums that magna-traction is catchy, but I didn't feel it. I know this board has been on everyone's radar for awhile now. So, I feel like that a guy sending Segway videos to amaze his friends, without realizing they have been around so long mall cops use them. Or maybe just the fashion sense of Eastern Europe. Basically, I've never been on a T.Rice despite everyone else already knowing they are sick. So, if you aren't like me and are up on things like "internet" and "cellphones" you can ignore this because I am pretty sure this is a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it. But, I'd say if you haven't gotten one and want an all-mountain twin board that can rip anywhere this should be your choice.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2013:

I was a little hesitant about the funky magnetraction thing they've got going on, but I had an early season chance to ride this over a variety of terrains and it outperformed my expectations at every point.

Solid board, I'm a happy customer, stoked for the season ahead.

I used this product for a good portion of the days I rode this winter. I have only owned mervin products for about the last 5 or 6 years and I fall more and more in love with these boards every year. I used it for pretty much every style of riding and it passed with flying colors all around. All I would want to be different on the board is a little bit wider waist for a bigger boot. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!

Rode a skate nana for 3 years in Mi. Love park and don't get much pow so it was fine. Decided after last trip out west I needed an all mtn charger. This is it. Not as playful in park but literally rips everything else. So much fun in pow, hardpack & ice. Park is still killer with tons of pop just not as loose as skate naner (which is usually a good thing).

Overall I am very impressed with this snowboard. I ride the 157 blunted tip version. The graphics are pretty cool, just to get that out of the way. This board truely makes me feel like I am floating on the snow as all banana boards do. It carries a lot of speed into the jumps and has perfect pop to fly gracefully across the jumps. The edge is some thing I needed to get used to. It is for giving until you really get on the edge and it grips like no other.

I took my 164.5 cm out to Winter Park, Colorado for its first runs. Such a responsive board, and what a great feel! Although this is by far my first really 'nice' board, I could tell a huge difference in my snowboarding right away. Stance set back just slightly, I ride mostly all-mountain freestyle. This board was poppy as can be and really responded well. It held speed much better than expected, as well. So far, no complaints.

Was a hardcore Burton Camber only fanatic for years! I was in the dark! This board is almost a one board quiver. I bought the 157 rode it and immediately ordered the 161 for POW days. I am selling all of my other boards.

Buy this board! You WILL ride better.

This board is great for everything. I used it at mountain creek in jersey on ice, to killington vermont on powder. This board seriously slays anything. Im 6 foot and ride the 157 its perfect. Rode the burton stash at killington and this thing eats natural features.. from tree rails to wooden walls. Never had so much stability after stomping a landing.
