Big dudes need big boards for slaying big lines on big bad mountains. The 2015 Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP C2BTX Snowboard is that board. Coming in wide and a 170cm ultra-wide, the Skunk Ape HP does not mess around. Featuring Lib's favorite C2 BTX, the rocker profile offers plenty of float in deep pow while the cambered zones under each foot give the board plenty of pop and stability. Horsepower Construction uses eco-friendly basalt instead of fiberglass to create a lighter, stronger, and more lively snowboard. The Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP C2BTX Snowboard would make Sassy the Sasquatch proud.
Rocker Type
C2 BTX: Power Banana / Camber Blend - Lib's favorite camber rocker blend for aggressive power snowboarders. Solid tip and tail pressure for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability combined with a medium amount of pressure between your feet delivers float, carving and edge hold.

Flex
Flex 7 - A stiff aggressive flex designed to provide stability on big take offs and excellent response for cruising through powder
Shape
Directional Twin Geometries - This effortless freestyle and freeride geometry starts with a Twin chassis (from contact to contact) but with an ever so slightly longer nose than tail that allows the board to float on powder and blast through crud. It's a Twin with an advantage.
Core
Power A // Paulownia // Aspen XL Core - Light, strong and lively long fibers // Super ultra light, strong, long lively fibers // Light, strong, lively, fast growing, heat treated for maximum pop and a long life
Laminates
Basalt - These strong and light volcanic organic additive free fiber reinforcements are made from minerals. Flex modulus is synchronized with Lib Tech's resin system for maximum strength and minimum weight. Damp, strong and lively Basalt means a smooth and poppy ride.
Sidewalls
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - Rugged lightweight vertical and end grain Birch internal sidewalls add toughness where you need it when things get hard.
UHMW External Sidewalls - Fast. Rugged. Hard. Waterproof. No toxic ABS, do it for the kids.
Base
Sintered Base - Fast, tough, maximum wax retention.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Magne-Traction - Steak knife technology turns ice into powder! Seven points of focused edge control. Magne-Traction's strategic serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions.

Topsheet
Bio Beans Sparkle Topsheet - Bio polymer top material made from castor bean oil. It's rugged, damp and prints beautifully in an environmentally friendly way.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
