Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX Wide Snowboard - Blem 2013

Mervin’s revolutionary Banana Tech reverses a snowboard’s “pressure map” by focusing your weight between your feet (resulting in better edge grip and carving) and reducing pressure at the tips and tails (making the board less catchy and easier to pivot). Get on the Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX Wide Snowboard and see what all the buzz is about! Note: This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.
Rocker Type
Banana Technology (BTX) - Rocker between your feet blended with flat-to-mild camber to contact points focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice, and a mild amount of pressure to the tip and tail for unreal float and catch-free freestyle.

Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5
Sidecut
True Twin - A symmetrical shape for equally precise performance riding regular or switch.
Core
H-Pop - Wood Alloy Core is made from experimental new dead trees with the highest compression response ever used in a snowboard. It has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight. Another industry first for Lib Tech.
Sidewalls
Double Sintered UHMW Sidewalls - Twice as sintered as any other sidewall: tough, handsome, and light
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - The same futuristic power 90º pop technology from Lib Tech's world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines, only this time Lib Tech has placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction: stronger, more pop, and more control.
Base
TNT - Fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material: Wax it or maybe skip a day.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Additional Features
Correct Sandwich Construction - SUPER LIGHT SPIN WEIGHT! The perfect blend of pickles and mustard: UHMW sidewalls and Power Transfer Internal sidewalls

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Out of my 3 boards this is the most playful and easiest to ride. If your gonna ride in the park or go freestyle this is the board. If you you want to dabble in freestyle and ride the mountain this is the board. In all actuality I have zero complaints about this board.

Comments about Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX Wide Snowboard - Blem 2013:

I'm 6' , 170lbs size 12 boot, I got a 156 Wide and fits me well for general shredding and playful riding. Due to unfortunate circumstances of being tied to a location for a couple seasons with the only hill of being a midwestern dumb, it livens the riding up. Love the board, its my first deck with Magne Traction. I'm used to riding NS and YES, but now I will never ride another board without Magne Traction. Blew my socks right off first run. Holds an edge like no other, am I cheating? No difference in pow but who needs edges in it anyways. I prolly should have went with a 159 for more flex and pop as I ride with my stance maxed out but it remains super responsive and a fargin' joy to ride. Supper stable underfoot allmountain and in the park. Locks on to rails and presses like a boss.
