Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard 2013

The legendary Matt Cummins uses this all-mountain destroyer to access and shred Baker’s super-secret pow stashes, and you should too. Matt’s been designing boards for Lib Tech for over 20 years, and this design is his sickest yet. The Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard employs a smooth directional nose with rocker underfoot and camber at the tail to deliver massive float in powder, hard carving underfoot and the power of camber in back.
Rocker Type
C1 Banana Camber Combo Blend (C1 BTX) - Banana in front, camber in the rear: Rocker between your feet with flat-to-mild camber from the front foot to nose contact, blended with camber from the back foot to the rear contact area, focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice and a mild amount of pressure to the tip for unreal catch-free float and shifts our maximum amount of pressure to the tail for power, stability, pop, and control in critical situations.

Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6-7 depending on size
Shape
Agressive Directional Geometries - Effortless freestyle and freeride geometry: Twin chassis (from contact to contact) but with an ever so slightly longer nose than tail floats on powder and blasts through crud. It's a Twin with an advantage.
Core
H-Pop Camel - Wood Alloy Core: Experimental new dead tree with the highest compression response ever used in a snowboard has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight.
Sidewalls
UHMW Polyethylene Sidewalls - Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene has the highest impact strength of any plastic, repels water, and slides well on contact with snow. It's used for joint replacements as well as snowboards.
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - The same futuristic power 90º pop technology from Lib Tech's world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines, only this time Lib Tech has placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction: stronger, more pop, and more control.
Base
TNT - Fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material: Wax it or maybe skip a day.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Comments about Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard 2013:

The best board I have ever owned. All the benefits of a rockered powder board with none of the drawbacks. A wrote a more detailed review on my blog at:

      MC La Nina

Comments about Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard 2013:

Felt a little stiff but bomber, lands everything, just a little bit hard to maneuver. It's poppy but not really playful. May have been oversized on me but I did have a blast on it.

A Pow Board that Rallies on Firm Snow

Comments about Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard 2013:

The La Nina dominates in powder! I was a little scared that it would not do so well in firm snow but with the loaded camber out the tail it allows stable edge hold... Also it has no taper angle so the doesn't wash out. Great all mt. killer that caters more towards the soft snow, A little sketchy in icy chunder but what board is not? Love it!

Comments about Lib Tech La Nina MC C1BTX Snowboard 2013:

The Lib tech LaNina is matt cummins pro model. Its there C1 board, which means it has camber only in the tail and reverse camber between your feet(banana). The LaNina also has mag down the edge. This board would kill it as a directional all mountain board. It likes to go fast down the steep pow lines but still handles everything else very well.
