Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard - Blem 2013

If you’ve been dreaming of taking your freestyle moves out of the park and onto the rest of the mountain, the Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard is your tool. Lib Tech moves the camber in the tip and tail slightly closer to the center of this board to focus on pop, giving you a bit more shock absorption for landing big hits, and ease of turn initiation. Also added is a smoother tip and tail curve for better float in powder. Wahoo. Note: This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.
Rocker Type
EC2 Elliptical Camber / Banana Blend (EC2 BTX) - Elliptical Camber combined with Banana Rocker moves the camber closer to your bindings, slightly reducing the amount of pressure at tip and tail. This gives a slightly smoother and more forgiving ride than C2.

Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6-7 depending on size
Shape
True Twin - A symmetrical shape for equally precise performance riding regular or switch
Core
Columbian Gold Core - Experimental new dead tree with the highest compression response ever used in a snowboard
Laminates
Basalt / Fiberglass Combo - Basalt is produced in a clean, pure process consisting of high heat and absent of toxic additives. Not only is it safer for humans, it’s easier to recycle. Basalt fiber has strength properties much higher than fiberglass and better damping properties for a smooth ride.
Sidewalls
Soy-Based Elastomer Sidewalls
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - The same futuristic power 90º pop technology from Lib Tech's world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines, only this time Lib Tech has placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction: stronger, more pop, and more control.
Base
TNT - Fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material: Wax it or maybe skip a day.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Comments about Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard - Blem 2013:

This board is super fun, the magna trac makes turning effortless and the flex gives the board alot of pop. Being twin not the best in the pow, but it can be done. I would recomend this board to anyone with a so-so board who wants to up thier ridding abilites. The attack banana gives you the confidence to go bigger and is super forgiving on those sketch landings.

Comments about Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard - Blem 2013:

This board has a KILLER feel/flex right out the box!! This board loves to hall booty & carve HARD when you do!! I myself like doing "flat-ground" tricks also,& the EC2 base seems to want to do them!! This board also rides pow FAST!! Alot of boards with the banana inspired flex kinda give u "death wobbles" when riding pow at speeds. This board doesn't!! So far it's the best board I've owned!!

Comments about Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard - Blem 2013:

I got the 159 hoping to make life a little easier in the trees and deep powder. I was more than impressed. Keeping the nose up was effortless, even with my bindings set dead center. I wasn't expecting much on the groomers, but I haven't ridden anything that carves as well as this board since my hard boot days...super stable at high speeds. Riding flat can be a little twitchy...but I was expecting that and it didn't take long to get used to it. I wish I could have demo'd the Banana Magic before deciding on which to get...but I definitely have no regrets. This is a great board for the type of riding I do 90% of the time.

Comments about Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2BTX Snowboard - Blem 2013:

I had high expectations for this ride, and they were exceeded. Most reviews I read were all about park riding, but this camber also rips through powder. Perfect for backcountry jibs and cutting narrow lines. The park reviews are as advertising as well. This thing pops with no problem picking up speed.
