K2 Raygun Snowboard 2013

Oh, the good ‘ol days. Wait, every day is a good day on the mountain with the K2 Raygun Snowboard. Seasoned riders and intermediates alike will love the smooth ride and quality construction of the Raygun. All Terrain Rocker® Baseline sets the tone for solid performance and Hybritaper™ that keeps it light and smooth making the Raygun the most fun board for the buck.
Rocker Type
All Terrain Rocker® (30% Rocker / 70% Flat) makes effortless turns on hardpack but also provides ample float in softer snow and crud.
Flex
Built for riding anywhere in any conditions, the K2 Raygun is for intermediate to advanced riders looking to progress their skills
Construction
Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight.
Bambooyah™ is used for its incredible strength.
W1 Core features a single species of pure wood with proven flex, durability and snap.
Biax glass provides smooth, all-purpose performance
ICG Glass integrates carbon into the fiberglass, reducing overall weight and creating a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness.
Sidecut
Twin Hyper Progressive sidecut technology blends differing turn radii to form a sidecut that’s mellow in the tips and more aggressive in the center. This results in a super predictable feel that’s never hooky, is stable at high speeds and is smooth enough to butter.
Additional Features
2000 Extruded base is fast, durable, and easy to repair
1 degree base bevel

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.

Comments about K2 Raygun Snowboard 2013:

Very happy with the snowboard. Turns on a dime, handles powder, light weight. I switched from riding a 1990 Burton Air to this board, so I'm having to relearn how to snowboard.

Comments about K2 Raygun Snowboard 2013:

I moved up to this after years of using a "beginner board" which I had outgrown from an ability standpoint. The Raygun is awesome.

It was comfortable from the moment I stepped on it, allowed me to go faster than ever before, and it's flexibility made going off piste smooth and easier than ever.

An advanced rider friend of mine rides one and loves it. I'm intermediate, at best, and love it.
