K2 Playback Snowboard - Demo 2014

Always a favorite, the K2 Playback Snowboard is most comfortable when flaunted on kickers, half pipes, rails and any other creative freestyle situation. Its Freestyle Baseline technology is the best call for predictable turn and trick progression. This true twin, hyper progressive shape provides a smooth and soft flex pattern and allows for easy control and initiation, but with enough support to handle both on and off trail goodtimes. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Freestyle Baseline™ - Freestyle Baseline is a versatile twin Rocker built to dominate any freestyle line. This shape has just enough rise in the tip and tail contact points to create a loose, buttery feel while maintaining instant response and pop.
Shape
Twin Hyper Progressive - An infinite number of different radii are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. The result is a super predictable feel that never hooks: responsive at high speeds and smooth enough to butter your way from peak to park.
Core
W1 - K2's W1 core is characterized by a single species of pure wood with proven flex, durability, and snap. This is K2's standard core for entry to mid level boards.
Laminates
Biaxial Glass - The classic structural laminate, biax glass provides smooth, all-purpose performance.
Sidewalls
Patented Hybritech™ - Hybritech™ is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing one ounce of performance. This construction features sidewall along the running surface that flows into the nose and tail to provide low swing-weight, optimized turn initiation and durability.
Base
2000 Extruded - This base technology is fast, durable, easy to tune and repair.
Binding Compatibility
2x4 Insert pattern

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
