Taking K2's backcountry experience and applying it to the 2014 K2 Peace Keeper Snowboard results in the most technically advanced yet soulful soft board in K2's line. The Peace Keeper features Hybritech™ construction for maximum performance and its Bambooyah™ core for skate inspired durability. Backcountry Baseline with Tweekend™ technology make the Peace Keeper a great choice for both pow and all-mountain terrain.
Rocker Type
Backcountry Baseline™ - BC Baseline delivers the most Rocker for the most snow - enabling you to float through anything while still maintaining a high-level of performance on groomed terrain. A slightly flatter tail adds edge bite and control for critical landings and pointing it at high speeds.
Tweekend™ - A revolutionary tweak to the ends of K2's industry leading Baseline technology. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, additional rideable surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.

Shape
BC Shaping - Soft snow turns are different. Turns and control comes from not only carving but also pushing and displacing snow. A different turn requires a different shape. With a longer tip blend and delayed initiation of the sidecut, K2's new BC shaping eliminates the over steering that can come from traditional hard snow based design.
Sidecut
Hyper Progressive - An infinite number of different radii are blended together smoothly - from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. The result is a super predictable feel that never hooks and is responsive at high speeds yet smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park.
Core
Bambooyah™ Blend WH4 - Bambooyah™ cores are skate style horizontally laminated bamboo cores that K2 challenges any rider to try and break. The WH4 core pulls every trick from K2's bag of core tech. With greater percentage of Honeykomb than the WH3 core, it's engineered to maintain durability at minimal weight.
Laminates
Biaxial Glass - The classic structural laminate, biax glass provides smooth, all-purpose performance.
ICG 20 - Integrating carbon into the fiberglass reducing overall weight and creating a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness. Each level of ICG is tailored for the rider at hand and their performance needs.
Sidewalls
Patented Hybritech™ - Hybritech™ is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing one ounce of performance. This construction features sidewall along the running surface that flows into the nose and tail to provide low swing-weight, optimized turn initiation and durability.
Base
Ø Sintered - An ultra thin, lightweight, lower material usage, static eliminating base
Additional Features
Carbon Web™ II - Designed specifically to enhance Baseline technology, K2's Carbon Web brings the pop and snap of carbon closer to your bindings for maximum ollies and control in every situation.
Ollie Bar™ - The Ollie Bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Molded in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the problem of rocker boards not having the pop that camber boards have. Made with a secret lay up of carbon, Kevlar and glass layers, the Ollie Bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts.
Binding Compatibility

Specs

  • Terrain: Powder
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
