Big mountain freeriding demands both power and agility. The Jones Flagship Snowboard defines that balance and is the ultimate board for riders who want to shred like a rhino yet leap like a gazelle. Jeremy Jones and his legion of podium proven freeriders have battle tested the Flagship for unmatched performance from the bulletproof steeps to the powdery runouts. Mellow Magne-traction keeps the Flagship solid on ice, while the blunt nose, directional rocker and camber underfoot deliver the float and stability necessary to bomb any line anytime. The Flagship knows no speed limit and is no doubt one of the most confidence inspiring freeride snowboards ever produced. Step on it and prepare to step up.
Flex
The Flagship kills it all over the mountain thanks to its softer tip and tail and camber underfoot that offers the hold riders desire.
Carbon Stringers are added to improve pop and torsional stiffness and increase the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day 1.
Construction and Core
FSC Approved Full Wood Core - the wood comes from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of all generations. The core is a full poplar and beech wood core that offers a solid snap.
Mellow Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of the board. A key ingredient for rockered boards, Magne-Traction allows it to glide more smoothly.
Shape
Directional Rocker is a hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker than tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. The rockered tip gives the nose added float and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot gives you added edge hold and response. A slight rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board, but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.
Blunt Nose gives you float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length and swing weight.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sintered Base is made of the fastest natural base material available. The base is durable, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.
Wood Topsheet dampens the ride for chatter-free performance. The natural material also eliminates some plastic and lacquer which cuts down on waste and weight.
Flip Flop Base and Recycled Base scraps for drastically less P-Tex waste

Jones Knows

Comments about Jones Flagship Snowboard 2012:

25 years of shredding, I think Jeremy knows what an all mountain board should be. Perfect design for slaying powpow and for cruising groomers. This board is meant to go fast, yet keep you in control. The graphic this year is sick as well. Jones boards last year sold like hotcakes, so get yours while there in stock. In my top 3 for board of the year.

Jones Flagship=Epic?

Comments about Jones Flagship Snowboard 2012:

I rode this board in both the 158 and 161 lengths, I think it is in my top five favorite boards ever and I wanna get my hands on one. It was stiff the 161 was pretty big for me and I wouldn't ride it unless it was two foot day. However the 158 I would ride everywhere, anytime, it's stiff but has amazing pop and the sidewalls have a very sturdy feel to them. Obviously its a big mountain board but I feel like with the exception of park everything would be a blast on it, no chatter at high speeds, not to wide or to thin, and the rocker nose & tail keep you outta the pow.

Comments about Jones Flagship Snowboard 2012:

First off.....don't let the reviews of this deck scare you! Its not over the top stiff or the least bit hard to ride, it just has an intended use, stay with in that use and its all good!!! Means its not meant for the park or jibing around! DUH!!!
I rode it the first time in variable conditions and all I have to say is WOW, this is one of the best boards I have ridden, and one of the easiest, if not THE easiest bord to ride fast I have ever ridden. I have been riding since....well my first board was a Burton Performer Elite, that I bought brand new in the same year Jake dropped em off at the shop.....yeah, that says it all. Anyway, its a very well balanced board that does what it is meant to do as well as any deck out there. So if you are a freerider at heart and like steep, scary stuff, this board is worth a look!
