Whip it in pow or whip it in crud, the GNU Whip It! BTX Snowboard is going to whip it good. Like Devo's oddly shape bucket hats, the Whip It! snowboard has an oddly shaped nose and tail. The shape is catchier than the song though. The asymmetrical BTX rocker with Magne-Traction means this deck has a board feel like no other and turns are near effortless in any condition. When the pow's too deep for all your friends, you'll be blowing past them, staying afloat effortlessly. When the conditions are icy, you'll have impeccable edge hold and will remain unfazed. Rocker Type
BTX – GNU's BTX rocker profile places rocker between your feet, that transcends from flat to mild camber out to the contact points (tip and tail). This mellow blend of rocker and camber results in smooth riding, responsive turning, catch free jibbing and an epic float in pow.
Flex
Flex 5 - 6 Depending on Size – Medium stiff flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. A slightly stiffer medium flex is designed to be versatile with a focus towards freeriding.
Shape
True Twin – A true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch or play in the park. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.
Core
Paulownia – Incredible, ultra-lightweight, strong and poppy. Growing up to 20 feet a year once harvested, it grows back out of its own stump, making it extremely renewable.
Great Lakes Aspen – Light, strong, smooth riding, higher density Aspen.
Colombian Gold – Strong, poppy, extra-light, golden colored, fast-growing farmed wood.
Sidewalls
UHMW External Sidewalls – Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.

Sintered Base – Fast, tough, maximum wax retention.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
