GNU Riders Choice C2PBTX Wide Snowboard 2013

This all-terrain freestyle pickle was designed with a focus on park. C2 Banana Camber combo geometries provide confidence building end to end stability on big park and backcountry booters. Float in pow, have you control in critical situations, slide through rails and pop on anything you can pop. Your jib board is now your pow board and your pow board is now your park board with the GNU Riders Choice C2PBTX Wide Snowboard.
Rocker Type
C2 Banana Camber Technology (C2 BTX) - This combines rocker underfoot with radial camber to contact points for perfect carved turns and edge hold on ice, plus pop and stability for air and landings.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5-7, depending on size
Shape
Twin Asymmetric - Symmetrical nose and tail shape, asymmetric sidecuts in middle
Sidecut
Pickle Technology - Asymmetric sidecuts and construction balance the different turning mechanics requires for heelside and toeside turns. There is a deeper sidecut on your heel edge. Your body is asymmetric, your snowboard should be asymmetric.
Core
AG1 Sustainable Woodcore - A perfect combination of Aspen, ultra lightweight genetically altered wood core, and EISS 9
Laminates
Quasi Glass - 4 way fiber orientation 0/45/45/90: Triaxial and biaxial glass combo provides max pop and control. Vectran liquid crystal polymer was developed as the fiber foundation for inter-planetary Mars lander tires and has 10 times the strength of titanium.
Base
Sintered 9900 Alloy - Continuous compression formed for molecular elongation, preserving its amorphous polymer structure, for maximum wax absorption, and durability: It's tough and fast.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - This gives better edge hold and makes for an easier ride. Serrated edges cut into the snow like a knife giving you more edge hold and control than ever before. Magne-Traction™ features 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut.

Comments about GNU Riders Choice C2PBTX Wide Snowboard 2013:

So I just bought the 2013 Riders Choice and all I can say about this board is just AWESOME.
Unpacking it i was a bit worried because the tips and mid board have a strong flex. I know that the manufacturer and other people rated this board mid flex, but it's pretty soft at the ends and right in between your feet.
That aside, I mounted my bindings and went to hit the mountain. Things changed drastically and that "flex" is not felt at all while riding down the slopes, the ride is smooth, very responsive and ultra stable at high speeds.
I love how this board handles itself while carving, the deeper cut of the heels side making riding on your heels efortless. I read other reviews where people suggested that you need a run or two to get used to it but there's no need to worry, the transition is smooth and crisp and you probably won't notice the difference unless you switch to another board right after a run with the Riders Choice.
Magnetraction is another AWESOME feature! My first ride with this board was in horrible snow conditions, hard packed snow with alot of ice on huge portions and let me tell you .. this board kills it, apart from the "rough" ride on ice I couldn't feel a difference between snow and ice while turning.
Maybe a bit irresponsable on my side, I also went down as fast as I could (almost in a straight line down a red run)and the board took it like it was pure camber ... super stable and comfy.
Perfect board for buttering (Banana Shape)and ollies (it has a LOT of pop), making jumping and fooling around on the slope real fun and easy.
All in all I think this is a great board for all mountain riding. Didn't get a chance to hit the POW (beacause of the horrible weather conditions) and didn't test it out in the park (rails, boxes, kickers, halfpipes etc.) since I'm not really into that, I preffer riding fast and ocasionally popping an ollie or two where I get the chance to jump over something.
I strongly recomend this board to anyone looking for a smooth efortless ride down the mountain, it's worth every cent !!! I found it a bit expensive for my pocket but it's just AWESOME.

Comments about GNU Riders Choice C2PBTX Wide Snowboard 2013:

The flex is a little stiffer than i'm used to, but i ride the Forum YoungBlood Chilidog which is a soft butter board. This board isnt super stiff, but a mid stiffness board after it breaks in.
