GNU Rider's Choice ASS C2 PBTX Snowboard 2016

GNU Shop all GNU
The GNU Rider's Choice ASS C2 PBTX Snowboard uses asymmetry to better enhance your body's natural turning mechanics, with a deeper sidecut on the heelside for improved and simplified turn initiation. The core uses FCS Certified wood in three strategic locations to soften harsh landings, increase ollie power, and improve strength without adding weight. Lucky for you the GNU Rider's Choice ASS C2 PBTX Snowboard was made with Eco-Unreal Construction - meaning that even the top sheet and base material were constructed without harsh toxins or chemicals. Ride whatever the weather throws your way on the GNU Rider's Choice ASS C2 PBTX Snowboard.
Rocker Type
C2 BTX - Solid tip and tail pressured camber for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability is combined with a medium amount of rocker between your feet for float, carving and edge hold.

Flex
Flex Rating: 5.5 - 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A medium to medium-stiff flex ideal for a wide variety of conditions, from groomed runs to powder.
Shape
A.S.S. Pickle Technology - Asymmetric Symmetric Synchronization uses asymmetry in the board's sidecut (deeper heelside sidecut), wood core components (asymmetric wood lamination for softer heelside flex), contact angles (power serration on heelside and fine serration on toeside, short heelside edge contact and longer toeside contact) and tip and tail design to make riding a whole lot easier. The board harmonizes with your bodies natural asymmetry and the unique toeside and heelside snowboard activation mechanics.
Core
Miraculous Aspen Spine - The strong, powerful center beam of all Gnu cores.
Powerful Golden POP-lar Toe Side - This light, lively wood reduces the snowboards weight while adding a crisp pop.
Amazing Paulownia - This energy regenerative wood is GNU's lightest and smoothest core material that significantly reduces vibrations and dampens harsh landings.
FSC Certified Wood Cores - FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Laminates
Bi ax / Tri ax - This is a glass and fiber reinforcement combination to give the snowboard a long life and plenty of pop.
Sidewalls
UHMW Sintered Sidewalls - Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.
Birch Internal Sidewalls
UHMW Tip and Tail Impact Protection
Base
Eco-Sublimation Sintered Base - This base material was made through an environmentally-friendly process without the use of toxic solvents or curtain coats. Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slide best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Strategically located serrations on your edges that create confidence building, fatigue-reducing, edge hold all over the mountain especially on hardpack and ice.

Topsheet
Eco-Sublimation PBT Topsheet - This is a unique water-based graphic process that uses no toxic solvents or curtain coats in the manufacturing process. In exchange, you have a durable, classy looking top sheet that was made environmentally-friendly.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: Asymmetrical
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
