GNU Riders Choice C2 PBTX Snowboard 2015

GNU Shop all GNU
The GNU Riders Choice C2 PBTX Snowboard is ready for whatever, whenever, however. This quiver killer features GNU's C2 PBTX rocker profile with rocker between your feet and radial cambers out to the tip and tail. This allows for the board to be floaty and fun in the pow, and precise and stable when you need it. The A.S.S. Pickle Technology plays to the body's asymmetric shape with a deeper heelside sidecut, softer heelside flex, and asym tip and tail shapes for easier snow shredding. Make snowboarding easier with the 2015 GNU Riders Choice C2 PBTX Snowboard.
Rocker Type
C2 PBTX Agro Performance Banana / Camber - Rocker between your feet combined with radial cambers out to the contact. Aggressive riders enjoy unreal tip and tail control, power and pop combined with the float, freestyle freedom and carving of rocker between the feet.

Flex
Flex 5 - 7 Depending on Size - Medium stiff flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. A slightly stiffer medium flex is designed to be versatile with a focus towards freeriding.
Shape
True Twin - A true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch or play in the park. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.
A.S.S.Tech - This board is Asymmetric, and still symmetric at the same time. It might sound a little odd, but it works with how your body moves. By having symmetry in the board's sidecut, wood core, contact points, and the tip and tail design it makes riding a lot more fluid and easy!
Core
Paulownia - Incredible, ultra-lightweight, strong and poppy. Growing up to 20 feet a year once harvested, it grows back out of its own stump, making it extremely renewable.
Great Lakes Aspen - Light, strong, smooth riding, higher density Aspen.
Rocky Mtn Aspen - Very light dry climate Aspen with a crisp, poppy feel
Colombian Gold - Strong, poppy, extra-light, golden colored, fast-growing farmed wood.
Sidewalls
UHMW External Sidewalls - Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.
Base
Sintered Base - Fast, tough, maximum wax retention
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - The hot commodity in edge-technology; Magne-Traction maximizes your edge hold between your feet so you have better control and stability even on the iciest slopes. Magne-Traction varies in the serration depending on the board; regardless it will deliver a catch free ride any day. Magne-Traction™ features 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: Asymmetrical
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
