Jamie Anderson is one of the best professional snowboarders in the game. Why? Because Jamie can ride any terrain and make it look easy. That's why she designed the GNU Ladies Choice EC2 PBTX Snowboard to be an all-mountain freestyle, intermediate to expert shred machine. EC2 BTX places rocker between your feet and elliptical camber at the contact points to make this board powerful in a carve but playful and forgiving when it comes to stomping a spin or working a box. The Asymmetrical Symmetric Synchronization's deeper heelside sidecut works with your body's natural mechanics to make riding easier and more fluid. Make the obvious choice - ride the GNU Ladies Choice EC2 PBTX Snowboard and feel the difference.

Product Details

Rocker Type

EC2 BTXMade for easy riding, EC2 BTX places rocker between your feet combined with mellow elliptical cambers out to the contact points. This is the perfect rocker profile if you want to slay everything!

Flex

Flex Rating: 4.5 - 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)This snowboard's medium flex rating make it an exceptional choice for all-mountain riding. A medium flex won't limit what the snowboard can do, whether you're heading to the park, riding powder, or cruising groomers.

Shape

A.S.S. Pickle TechnologyAsymmetric Symmetric Synchronization uses asymmetry in the board's sidecut (deeper heelside sidecut), wood core components (asymmetric wood lamination for softer heelside flex), contact angles (power serration on heelside and fine serration on toeside, short heelside edge contact and longer toeside contact) and tip and tail design to make riding a whole lot easier. The board harmonizes with your bodies natural asymmetry and the unique toeside and heelside snowboard activation mechanics.

Core

Asym Eco-UnrealA strong, powerful, and durable Aspen spine has playful and snappy Poplar on the toeside and regenerative, lightweight, vibration reducing Paulownia at the heelside edge.

FSC Certified Wood CoresFSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

Laminates

Bi ax / Tri axThis is a glass and fiber reinforcement combination to give the snowboard a long life and plenty of pop.

Sidewalls

UHMW Sintered SidewallsUltra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.

Birch Power Transfer Internal SidewallsThese sidewalls transfer energy to the edges more rapidly. Aiming to give you unmatched control, pop, precision, and response.

Comments about GNU Ladies Choice EC2 PBTX Snowboard - Women's 2016:

I have the 2014 version of this board. It's awesome.

The board feels fun and surfy and easy on the snow, and I feel like it's always "helping me out" whether it's riding switch or on a messy landing. After 20ish days on the snow the board broke in some and became softer, I'd call it more a 4 on the flex scale and pressing is easy; but it's very springy and lively with satisfying spring out of the nose and tail. Edge to edge is fun, effortless, and easy. This board is also tough and will survive being knocked around.

The one downside I have this this board is that it doesn't lay down super satisfying carves, and it can wash out on really steep really hard snow, especially if you size it short. But that's a pretty small downside to a ton of upsides.

The long and short of it is that this board made me a way better snowboarder. By making snowboarding fun and forgiving, it made me want to hit jumps and jibs and ride switch, and I learned a lot of skills that I was afraid to try on my old traditional camber board. Ladies, if you are trying to push past a beginner/intermediate stage and you want a board that can take you all the way to being an expert, if you want to learn tricks or just become a master of edge control, this is it. Buy this snowboard.
