Forest Bailey is a weirdo - no wonder he is on GNU. His pro model, the GNU Forest Space Case ASS EC2 PBTX Snowboard, is just as bizarre. Featuring GNU's Twin Asymmetrical Symmetrical Synchronization shape, the Space Case balances nature's bio-mechanical curiosities by including shorter heelside contact, deeper heelside sidecut, and asymmetrical contact angles and shape, as well as asymmetric core materials and flex. All this weird science serves a purpose in this ripping GNU board.
Rocker Type
EC2 PBTX - The perfect quiver killer filler, the EC2 PBTX shape rides halfway between Banana Tech and C2. It effortlessly floats the pow, slaps the jibs and has the pop and tip-to-tail stability to totally stomp whatever you launch. Banana Rocker between your feet, elliptical camber at the tips and tails. Only eat the freshest bananas.

Flex
Flex: 4.5 - 6 (Depending on Size) - A versatile, medium-stiff flex designed to be aggressive yet playful, and great for all-mountain riding.
Shape
Twin Asymmetrical Symmetric Syncronization Freestyle Shape and Geometries - Your body is asymmetric heel to toe and your board should be too. This board is designed to work with your body’s natural asymmetries…balancing your toe and heelside and playing to the strengths of each side's mechanics to enhance control and performance.
Core
Paulownia - Incredible, ultra-lightweight, strong and poppy. Growing up to 20 feet a year once harvested, it grows back out of its own stump, making it extremely renewable.
Great Lakes Aspen - Light, strong, smooth riding, higher density Aspen. The backbone to every Gnu.
Rocky Mtn Aspen - Very light dry climate Aspen with a crisp, poppy feel
Laminates
Liquid Crystal Polymer - Plastic as strong as titanium! Tempering process that aligns molecules and creates hyper strengthened polymer chains. Creates a smooth, strong, poppy and lightweight snowboard ride and great Mars lander tires!
Sidewalls
UHMW External Sidewalls - Fast. Rugged. Hard. Waterproof. No toxic ABS, do it for the kids.
Base
Sintered Base - Fast, tough, maximum wax retention
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Magne-Traction .5 - Seven points of focused edge control. Magne-Traction’s strategic serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions. Winner of over 30 Good Wood awards. Ridden to Olympic gold medals, Air and Style championships, King of Hill, X Games Street gold, Supernatural victory and Ted Borland’s backwoods jibs.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
