GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard 2012: Showing the beginners and progressors how fun snowboarding really is, the GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard is built to ride. This all-terrain freestyle performance board has a mid-level flex and features Banana Rocker technology and Magne-Traction for a superior ride, great pop and ultimate edge hold.
Flex
Flex Rating: 4-6 (Depending on size) (1 Soft-10 Stiff): The GNU Carbon Credit BTX is built for beginner to intermediate riders looking to step up to a board that wants to excel as much as they do.
Construction and Core
Mervin A.5 Sustainable Aspen wood core is lightweight and poppy, nicknamed “nature’s fiberglass” for a reason.
Bi-axial glass has 2 way fiber orientation making the difficult easy
Banana Rocker Technology (BTX) applies more pressure inward to the edge area at and between your feet. While your stance presses out the rocker, the tip and tail are still flat for enough stability without sacrificing float.
Sandwich construction
Shape
True Twin combined with a centered radial sidecut, means this board rides perfectly in both directions on any terrain
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
EISS 5 UHMW Sidewalls have tough extrerior laminated to 5 layers of endgrain birch on the inside
Magne-Traction 0.75 Shred technology gives better edge hold and makes for an easier ride. Magne-Traction edges cut into the snow like a knife giving you more edge hold and control. Magne-Traction has 7 distinct contact points strategically placed for tip/tail control while maintaining freestyle freedom
CX 2500 base is hard, fast and virtually maintenance free

Comments about GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard 2012:

brilliant for cutting threw powder and making it through tight maneuvering spots. Very useful if you're trying to move up past that beginner/intermediate level, easy to practice switch on and has good pop and flexibility. I haven't had the chance to take it into the park yet, although it is still a little stiffer than boards that are made specifically for the park if your like me and had a very stiff board, it will fell like a world of difference.

Comments about GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard 2012:

Just rode for the first time at Mt Bach and with the mixed conditions this board did great. Bit and cut really well on the icy days and rode great on the deep snow days.

Comments about GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard 2012:

I consider myself an intermediate rider and this is my second board. I love the way it carves and the flexability of this board. I couldn't be more pleased with the way this board looks and handles. I purchased the Gnu Park bindings to go with this board and I will never go back to tradional bindings ever again! I highly recommend this board, you won't be disappointed.

        2012 GNU CCS 156

Comments about GNU Carbon Credit BTX Snowboard 2012:

Over the years I've rode these from a 150 to a 162W and they are always a poppy blast. This one is no different it is awesome the mag and rocker together make it a very playful, edge-holden, real big pop havin, great board to ride. Buy it small for jibs, medium for park, big for all-mountain, bigger for big mountain I would take this flex pattern for any of em, and would feel confident riding almost anything. It's also got good-woods up the kazoo for best under $400 and it really is true, best value board ever!
