Rocker Type
XC2 BTX – A tight radius rocker between your feet is combined with radial camber out to the contact points. Ideal for more aggressive riders.
Flex
Flex Rating: 7 - 7.5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Freeriding tuned flex for big mountain powder slashing domination.
Shape
Directional Twin – Effortless freestyle and freeride geometry. Twin chassis (from contact to contact) but with an ever so slightly longer nose than tail. Floats on powder and blasts through chunder.
Core
Miraculous Aspen – The strong, powerful center beam of all Gnu cores.
Powerful Golden POP-lar – This light, lively wood reduces the snowboards weight while adding a crisp pop.
FSC Certified Wood Cores – FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Laminates
Bi ax / Tri ax – This is a glass and fiber reinforcement combination to give the snowboard a long life and plenty of pop.
Sidewalls
UHMW Sintered Sidewalls – Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.
UHMW Tip and Tail Impact Protection
Birch Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls – These sidewalls transfer energy to the edges more rapidly. Aiming to give you unmatched control, pop, precision, and response.
Base
Sintered Base – This base material was made through an environmentally-friendly process without the use of toxic solvents or curtain coats. Compression hardened amorphous UHMW creates the toughest, fastest best wax holding base material around. For best results, wax regularly.

Magne-Traction™ .5 – Mellow strategically located serrations on your edges that create confidence building, fatigue-reducing, edge hold all over the mountain especially on hardpack and ice.

Freeride Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
