Flow Drifter Snowboard 2015

For the nomad in search of the perfect all-mountain board - look no further than the Flow Drifter Snowboard. This do-it-all board features an I-Rock profile that blends a reverse camber between your bindings with camber out towards the tip and tail, to provide the best of both worlds. A loose and easy medium flex offers up just enough response for quick turns, yet is soft enough to shred the terrain park with ease. Board chatter and rough landings are dampened by Flow's Whiskey Royale Construction. Slay the whole mountain on the Flow Drifter Snowboard.
Rocker Type
I-Rock (Rocker) - Reverse camber with a convex base for a natural feel on rails and stability in variable conditions. Combined with camber starting before the binding zone, I-ROCK provides stability and camber-like pop for peak to park performance.
Directional Twin - Gives you the option to ride a little set back or twin it up. Set back inserts, a core profile for snap off the tail, and a little more forgiving nose in crud and pow. Equal amounts of nose and tail allow a rider equal opportunity to ride in any direction.
Dual-Transitional - Utilizes a combination of two radii. A tight radius for quick, responsive carving is blended into a mellow radius right before the nose and tail of the board for rougher terrain, high speeds and the forgiveness you need while jumping.
Re-Flex - Flow's lightest most responsive core, with the highest strength-to-weight construction. This specifically profiled core fuses several species of poplar woods resulting in a more stable super-light snappy feel.
Bi-Axial with Carbon - New for this year, Flow is adding carbon stringers in the boards that feature Bi-Axial glass. The special configuration of bi-axial glass/carbon design creates a smooth yet responsive feel. The specific carbon placement will increase the boards energy while still maintaining that natural easy riding feel found in Bi-Axial glass.
Whiskey Royale Construction - Flow's new design uses a composite Micro-porous rubber material placed beneath the heel and toe areas of the bindings. This reduces chatter and absorbs impact, and will increase your edge hold and provide a smoother ride while turning.
Dual-Transitional - Utilizes a combination of two radii. A tight radius for quick, responsive carving is blended into a mellow radius right before the nose and tail of the board for rougher terrain, high speeds and the forgiveness you need while jumping.
Sintered 4000 - Flow's Sintered base material is more durable and stronger than the Extruded base. It absorbs wax very well, and is much faster creating a smooth glide. It is one of the most durable materials on the market and can handle any sliding feature you ride over.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
