DC Ply Snowboard - Women's 2015

DC Shop all DC
For accomplished boarders looking for an all-mountain ripper, look no further than the DC Ply Snowboard. Lock & Load Camber means the Ply has a traditional cambered profile underfoot, with flatter sections in the tip and tail. This translates to fantastic edging and control in hard snow conditions, and easier turn initiation and a less hooky feel as soon as you get into some softer snow. The Ply also features a lightweight core and some edge bevel so the board has no break in period and is super easy to hop on, straight out of the plastic.
Rocker Type
Lock & Load Camber - The board has traditional camber throughout the midsection with longer, traditional contact points, creating a flat, stable platform. This skate-inspired camber profile has allowed DC to create an entirely new feeling of power and stability in these boards.
Flex
Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Stiff flex for solid control and responsive carving. Offers great support in the park but sacrifices some tweaking freedom.
Shape
Radius 2 Flat - The flat surfaces at the nose and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to enable effortless transitions from edge to edge while turning.
Core
Stratus Core - Poplar Wood // 6/10 Pop // Feel: Light
Laminates
Bi-Ax - Directions: 2/4 // Materials: Glass // Feel: Progressive Control
Base
True Base - Durability: 7/10 // Feel: Sanded // Speed: Fast
Edges
3-Degree Bevel - By taking 3˚ of angle off the traditional 90˚ edge, advantage is gained for both beginners, who get a forgiving, catch-free ride, as well as expert riders looking for a board that's jib-ready right out of the wrapper.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
