DC PBJ Wide Rocker Snowboard 2012

The DC PBJ Wide Rocker Snowboard is straight up the original Park Board for Jibbing. The soft flex of this board combined with the generous 6mm Anti-Camber design make it a fun and playful ride that will turn the entire mountain into your playground. The PBJ Rocker is the ultimate jib stick for rails, boxes, or park laps; and it will never let you have a dull moment on the hill. This fun and quick turning ride is the choice park board for freestylers and daredevils the world over.
Rocker Type
6 mm Anti-Camber - The board is flat between your stance, and curved away from the snow outside the stance. A shorter flat spot is more maneuverable. The most anti-camber makes the board more playful and forgiving.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5, the medium flex allows the DC PBJ to be flexy and playful in the park with just enough drive to play around the rest of the mountain.
Shape
Radius 2 Flat - Has flat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board to provide lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge.
Core
Astro - The wood reinforced space age composite Astro Core creates a bombproof board that is designed to deliver freestyle performance.
Camber Core - By adding a unique arch shaped profile to the wood core, the fiberglass takes on a completely new geometry, like that of a bridge. This "arched fiberglass" shape gives the board more pop and added resistance when flexing the tip and tail. Also giving the anti-camber board the stability of a traditional camber board.
Laminates
64.20 BI-AX - Two directions of glass fibers woven tightly together for a forgiving and torsionally flexible ride; this gives you increased board control and feel without sacrificing strength.
Base
True Base - Fast, durable, and easy to maintain. It provides an exceptionally fast base that doesn't require frequent tuning.
Structurn™ Base - Just like the dimples of a golf ball break tension and make it fly farther, these small dimples in the base break water tension and allow your board to glide faster, turn easier and allow you to ride on.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Effective Edge: 113mm (155), 114mm (159)mm
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
