Construction and Core
The Slugger Core is new for 2011, handcrafted with the same ash hardwood found in Louisville Sluggers. Starting out with a solid poplar core, pre-bent ash stringers are inserted that run parallel with the board edges to increase durability, dampen vibration, and stabilize the board for the ultimate combination of performance, durability and versatility. The Carbon Quadrax laminate uses 4 directions of glass fibers woven tightly together with dual carbon fiber strips running from tip to tail to form the top performing laminate, and the Camber Core profile creates a flat section in the center of the board for a stable platform for fast, straight-line riding performance while eliminating the typical washout of a traditional camber.
Shape
A long flat spot and 2mm Anti-Camber give a fast, fun, stable ride, and after receiving rave reviews, the radius to flat profile is added to every DC model for 2011: the flat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you floating on top of the soft stuff.
Base
The Sintered Supreme base is a firm high density base that’s exceptionally fast and super water-resistant. The porous surface allowing easy wax absorption for longer lasting tune ups, combined with a Structurn base finish whose small dimples break water tension and allow your board to glide faster, turn easier, and allow you to ride longer regardless of how much wax you have.
