Former US President/OG Teddy Roosevelt once said "speak softly, and carry a Thunderstick." The Thunderstick is new to the CAPiTA lineup for 2014. This full camber, Yawgoons-inspired shredstick will explode your riding to the next level at a price you can afford. Based off of the legendary CAPiTA Stairmaster, the Thunderstick offers a lightweight wood core with bombproof construction for going big in the park and all over the mountain.
Rocker Type
Traditional Camber - Tried and true, traditional camber elongates your effective edge and provides more power in your nose and tail. Boards pop harder and have more high speed turning stability with this design.

Flex
4 Flex - 4, perfect for all-mountain freestyle
Shape
Radial True Twin - A radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.
Core
SS Select Core - Engineered to ride the whole mountain, the SS Select Core provides a perfect balance between energy, reliability, stability and pop. Vertically laminated poplar is lightweight and has a long grain orientation. There are no irregularities or finger joints allowing for consistent uniform flex throughout the deck.
Laminates
Form 6 - This configuration consists of biaxial fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the core, each layer having fibers oriented in zero and 90 degree angles, laminated to increase energy and durability. This provides a durable and predictable board while retaining necessary pop.
Base
HMC Extruded (High molecular Composition) - True to all extruded bases, the HMC bases are low maintenance, user-friendly bases that perform well with or without your consistent waxing and attention. The HMC Extruded is a special "high molecular composition" base that is more dense, more durable and more abrasion resistant than standard extruded bases. The result is a hard, fast and reliable base that will get you where you want to go.
Edges
360 degree steel edges
Topsheet
PLT topsheet technology
Graphics
Silkscreen Base Graphics
Additional Features
Aluminum logo base inlay
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Mounting Inserts - Gives the rider more mounting options

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
