CAPiTA NAS Snowboard 2015

Remember the days when all snowboards were pretty much the same - camber, directional, and pretty damn stiff. The CAPiTA NAS is just that, a Normal Ass Snowboard. Backed by Japanese shred samurai, Kazu Kokubo, the NAS is an all terrain attack vehicle. This full camber deck provides the energy and stability needed to stomp landings in the bc or the superpipe. At a price that will leave you with gas money for the mountain, the CAPiTA NAS is undeniably the best-performing board for the price.
Rocker Type
Traditional Camber - Tried and true, traditional camber elongates your effective edge and provides more power in your nose and tail. Boards pop harder and have more high speed turning stability with this design.

Flex
7 Flex Rating - 7, Perfect for freestyle and all-mountain riding.
Shape
Progressive; Directional - A true progressive sidecut consists of two or more radii blended together to accommodate the three stages of a turn. They provide easy turn initiation, while offering greater control and stability throughout the turn, and maximum power when exiting.
Core
RFC Sustainable Core - Eco-friendly core construction. RFC cores are made with a single species Poplar grain creating a smooth and consistent ride. Extending the entirety of the board, the wood has no knots or joints to ensure you have a responsive ride with a uniform flex pattern.
Laminates
Special Blend Evo Tech - An Eco Friendly wet lay-up process that uses a polyurethane based resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory's working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics used in resins at other factories. This configuration uses an optimum blend of biaxial glass laminated in conjunction with structural additives to customize performance objectives.
2 x 30 mm Carbon Fiber Beams
Sidewalls
Full ABS Sidewalls
Base
Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base - These bases are created by taking pellets of ultra-high-molecular-weight Polyethylene and compressing them through heat and pressure. The minuscule spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended periods of high speed shredding as the wax wicks to the surface while you ride. This prevents your base from drying out and keeps the surface feeling freshly waxed throughout the day. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and are consistently the dominant first choice of pro snowboarders worldwide.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
