The CAPiTA Horrorscope Snowboard has been killing the jib game for a long time now. For the 2015 season, this Transworld Good Wood winner got some serious upgrades. The Horrorscope now features a new blunted shape with a shorter tip and tail to reduce swing weight. Plus the new SS Select core gives you 100% poplar wood - tip to tail and rail to rail with no finger joints or irregularities. No wonder why the Horrorscope is the number one selling board in the CAPiTA line. Add one to the quiver, and discover the truth.
Rocker Type
Urban FK - Reverse camber jib and park machines with Flat Kick tip and tails. Whether you're in the streets or at the resort this board is pre-positioned for pressing and never hanging up.

Flat Kick Technology - With Flat Kick design technology CAPiTA has tightened the profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height. This is a key area that influences the tempo and feel of turn initiation. With traditional larger tip and tail arcs, the loaded camber contributes to a board's acceleration into a turn. On reverse camber boards the contact points are elevated, removing this camber contribution. As a result, the same traditional tip and tail radii would make the board feel sluggish. Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions.
Flex
4 Flex Rating - Jib, press, and jump your way to victory with a board that's flexible and ready to destroy anything urban or park oriented.
Shape
True Twin - Ride switch, regular, or upside down, this board won't care; completely symmetrical from tip to tail.
Radial Sidecut - A radial sidecut is a single radius design that allows your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc. Centered stance.
Core
SS Select Core - Engineered for 'anytime, anywhere' performance reliability, the SS Select Core provides a perfect balance between energy, stability, and POP. Vertically laminated poplar is lightweight and has a long grain orientation. There are no irregularities or finger joints allowing for consistent uniform flex throughout the deck.
Laminates
Form 6 Fiberglass - The Form 6 glass configuration consists of 612g/m² biaxial fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the core each layer having fibers oriented in zero and 90 degree angles laminated to increase energy and durability. This progressive glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process and provides a durable predictable board that initiates turns easily, while retaining the pop necessary to handle variable conditions.
Sidewalls

Base
HMC Extruded (High molecular Composition) - True to all extruded bases, the HMC bases are low maintenance, user-friendly bases that perform well with or without your consistent waxing and attention. The HMC Extruded is a special "high molecular composition" base that is more dense, more durable and more abrasion resistant than standard extruded bases. The result is a hard, fast and reliable base that will get you where you want to go.

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
