CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death 2013

The Black Plague, the name alone strikes fear into the hearts of all mortals. However, that terrible disease is no match for the CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death. Its unique P2 Superlight™ Core gives it the strength to dominate any foe on, and off, the mountain. Death Grip™, a specially designed reverse sidecut, is engineered to compliment the Freeride FK Rocker profile to give you the best edge grip possible. The Black Plague's body count is nowhere close to the snow-flake casualties racked up by The Black Snowboard of Death. Tear up your local mountain this year with the top-of-the-line CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death.
Rocker Type
Flat Kick - Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and gives quick edge to edge transfer.
Freeride FK - This revolutionary all-mountain shape provides the best of both worlds. It has a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge hold through variable terrain, and elevated contact points to land and float in powder.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6.5, perfect for all-mountain riding
Sidecut
New Age Directional - A reverse side cut arc is in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to retain control and consistency throughout the turn.
Death Grip™ - A reverse sidecut blend in the midsection of the board to complement the hybrid camber design
Core
P2 Superlight™ Core - Comprised of an even mix of poplar and paulownia wood, this core is strong enough to stand up to any terrain and is specifically designed for the Black Snowboard of Death.
Laminates
Basalt Custom Weave - This features a resin and glass borrowed from the marine industry which yields much stronger and more rigid qualities, allowing for a decreased wood core thickness. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return. Added Basalt wings from the inserts to the contact points add retained power and pop.
Sidewalls
Full ABS sidewalls with Silkscreened Graphics
Base
Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base - These bases are created by taking pellets of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and compressing them through heat and pressure. The minuscule spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended periods of high speed shredding as the wax wicks to the surface while you ride. This prevents your base from drying out and keeps the surface feeling freshly waxed throughout the day. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and the overwhelming choice of pro snowboarders worldwide.

Comments about CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death 2013:

This board really can do it all. Super stable at speed but can handle any freestyle monkey bidness you can throw at it in the 162 length I rode. I'm 5'10 190lbs and like to go fast.

Comments about CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death 2013:

Very fun and playful. I like a little bit of a stiffer board but I did like that it felt stiff until you flexed past the camber. the hybrid tech you could really feel. Overall very fun and playful. Very light as well.

BSOD

Comments about CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death 2013:

Great response overall. Reacted quick and adjusted to movements of the body. Very versatile snowboard from what I could tell. Felt suitable for a variety of riding styles. One thing I did notice is that my weight was often transferring quickly to the front when going downhill, not too clear on the for this.

Comments about CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death 2013:

This is my favorite board in the CAPiTA line. It has camber between the fee but early rise tip and tail. It's on the stiffer side in CAPiTA's line but it's not too stiff... All around, killer all mountain board. I took this board all over Stevens from park ti steeps and I felt right at home.
