Mysterious women keep you on your toes; a similar feeling can be found with the Burton Mystery Snowboard. Burton developed the Mystery to be their lightest weight deck ever created. To achieve this revolutionary design, Burton invented Mystery Construction; which compresses wood materials together for a fast, poppy ride you can spin, jump and charge on. Traditional camber is ideal for great turns and cruising groomers. Camber profiles have constant edge contact to the snow, making the Mystery a carving machine on hard pack and beyond. This beauty is versatile too: take her to the pow, groomers or steeps and be amazed at how fatigue-proof your ride is. The Mystery reduces the transmission of vibrations to your feet and lessens impacts off jumps thanks to an Ultrafly Core. You will be itching in anticipation to ride the Burton Mystery Snowboard again and again.
Rocker Type
Camber - Powerful, poppy, and precise—camber speaks to the core values of board design. Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - This snowboard has a flex rating of 4, which is ideal for riders who want a playful board that can do it all. Soft landings, easy to butter, responsive for turning yet more forgiving then a stiff board.
Twin Flex - Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Infinite Ride™ - Burton's Infinite Ride™ is designed to maximize the pop and strength of your snowboard. During the manufacturing process, the board is broken in and reconfigured to ensure that your board will maintain flex, pop and ride the same from the first day to the 100th.

Shape
Directional - Directional is the original snowboard shape. It is designed with a slightly longer nose, to concentrate the pop in the tail. This board will give you plenty of floatation, fluidity, and control to rip.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Core
Ultrafly Core™ - Ultrafly’s precision-milling revolutionizes the strength-to-weight and performance achievable with a wood core construction. Burton's lightest core.
Multizone EGD™ - In four separate zones, the wood grain is perpendicular to the core adjacent to The Channel - the area from which a rider's power emanates - for ultimate strength and edge control
Laminates
Mystery Glass - Using a formula from the future, Mystery Glass is the result of a robotically-built complex carbon layup that allows manipulation of the flex and feel while revolutionizing strength-to-weight ratios.
Sidewalls
Dual Guard Rails - Engineered as a defense against destruction, Dual Guard Rails upgrade durability, add dampening, and amp up visual appeal in the sidewall dimension. High-grade TPU provides cushioning while extremely durable polycarbonate increases the sidewall's strength.
Base
Methlon Base - Ultra durable and low-maintenance, Burton's highest grade sintered base creates blistering speed that lasts all season.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Stainless Frostbite Edges - Frostbite edges extend out slightly beneath bindings for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don't, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining smooth, flowing, and forgiving.
Additional Features
Mystery Construction - Mystery Construction creates a snowboard that is extremely lightweight. The combination of carbon-fiber, Ultrafly Core and other mysterious elements make this snowboard durable, snappy, and playful.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel™ - Compatible with all major binding companies.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freeride, Powder
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
