Straight out of Craig's, Burton's in-house prototype facility, the Burton Mystery Snowboard is a prophecy from the future. With Burton's Mystery Construction and Ultrafly™ core, the Mystery packs a punch in an ultralight package. Loaded with Flying V™, the Burton Mystery Snowboard has the perfect blend of rocker and camber to bring float to your pow and pop to your park. Take to the future with the Burton Mystery Flying V Snowboard.
Rocker Type
Flying V™ - A Springloaded blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.

Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Very Stiff) - A medium flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings
Twin Flex - The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Infinite Ride™ - This Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Shape
Directional Shape - The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Core
Ultrafly Core - Ultrafly’s precision-milling revolutionizes the strength-to-weight and performance achievable with a wood core construction. Burton's lightest core.
Multizone EGD™ - In four separate zones, the wood grain is perpendicular to the core adjacent to The Channel - the area from which a rider's power emanates from - for ultimate strength and edge control.
Laminates
Mystery Glass - Using a formula from the future, Mystery Glass is the result of a robotically-built complex carbon layup that allows manipulation of the flex and feel while revolutionizing strength-to-weight ratios.
Base
Methlon Base - Ultra durable and low-maintenance, Burton's highest grade sintered base creates blistering speed that lasts all season.
Diecut Base Color - Combinations may vary
Edges
Stainless Frostbite Edges - Edges beneath your bindings extend slightly outward for tremendous edge hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining forgiving in softer conditions.
Topsheet
20-30% Recycled content
Graphics
Eliminated Printing Chemicals - Uses more eco-friendly inks than traditional printing methods
Additional Features
Mystery Construction - Shaving weight while enhancing feel and strength, Mystery Construction creates a board that's lighter than anything Burton has created to date. Much of it's a secret, but the combination of a precision-milled Ultrafly Core and a proprietary carbon-fiber matrix drops serious weight while maintaining a playful and snappy ride. Exclusively offered on the Mystery, the first board developed at Craig's, Burton's in-house proto facility.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel - Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
