Strap into the Burton Genie Snowboard and all of your wishes will come true. Okay, we take that back. Strap into the Burton Genie Snowboard and your aspirations of learning to snowboard will quickly become progression. The Genie is hands down, the easiest most forgiving board out there. The Flat Top with Easy Rider rocker profile means catch free carving and easy turn initiation while providing a stable platform for better balance and effortless board control. While the Burton Genie may not grant you three wishes, the magic of the Genie will shine with progression.
Rocker Type
Flat Top - Burton's Flat Top snowboards are flat underfoot and a little beyond the bindings. This profile gives you ample stability underfoot, better balance and constant edge control. The tip and tail kick up slightly with an early rise outside of the feet so you gain that catch-free ride.
Flex
Twin Flex - Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Shape
True Twin - A true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch and do some tricks. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.
Easy Rider - A slightly convex base shape combined with soft flex and an aggressive edge bevel for catch-free easy learning.
Core
Fly® Core - Burton's classic tip to tail wood core, constantly improved upon in terms of flex, feel, pop and strength.
Squeezebox Low - Burton's Squeezebox Low improves your boards performance by balancing thicker more powerful core sections in combination with thinner, more flexible sections. In translation, Squeezebox Low enhances your connectivity to your snowboard so you can progress in the park.

Laminates
Biax™ Fiberglass - Features a jib-friendly, torsion ally soft flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel.
Base
Extruded Base - An extruded base is full of speed, strength and amazing pop. These bases require little maintenance.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel - Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Soft
    Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
