Strap into the Burton Genie Snowboard and all of your wishes will come true. Okay, we take that back. Strap into the Burton Genie Snowboard and your aspirations of learning to snowboard will quickly become progression. The Genie is hands down the easiest most forgiving board built by Burton. The Flat Top with Easy Rider rocker profile means catch free carving and easy turn initiation while providing a stable platform for better balance and effortless board control. While the Burton Genie may not grant you three wishes, the magic of the Genie will be your guiding light to riding the entire mountain with ease. Burton recommends downsizing 2-4 cm from your regular board size due to Burton's Raduction design.
Rocker Type
Flat Top with Easy Rider - Flat zones that extend just past the bindings create a platform that is easy to balance on and learn board control. A convex base combined with early rising, mellow rocker at the tip and tail create a catch-free, forgiving and user-friendly ride.
Twin Flex - Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Twin Shape - Perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.
FSC™ Certified Fly® 900G Core - Burton's classic tip-to-tail wood core. Without sacrificing the flex, pop or strength, the 900G utilizes two wood species to create an extremely lightweight board.
Squeezebox Low - Burton's Squeezebox improves your boards performance by balancing thicker more powerful core sections in with thinner more flexible sections. Meaning you get enhanced board connectivity, response and predictability.
Biax™ Fiberglass - Features a jib-friendly, torsion ally soft flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel.
Extruded Base - An extruded base is full of speed, strength and amazing pop. These bases require little maintenance.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Easy Rider Edge Tune - Engineered for riders starting out. Burton's Easy Rider Edge Tune makes for a catch-free and forgiving ride by rounding out the edges.
Additional Features
Raduction | 2-4 cm - Burton’s patented Raduction design optimizes every element—from waist width and flex profile to sidecut and running length—letting you downsize from your normal board length. Light and lively, easy to throw around, surprisingly floaty, poppy, and stable at speed—Raduction will change the way you look at board length for good.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel™ - Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major binding companies (not just Burton’s).

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
