Burton Family Tree Landlord Splitboard 2015

Whether on the way up or the way down, the Burton Family Tree Landlord Splitboard owns that off-piste property. Featuring Burton's S-Rocker and 17 mm of tail taper, the Landlord Split has no problem floating through the deepest of pow. The Balanced Freeride Geometry gives the board a twin freestyle feel by balancing the camber and sidecut. This makes the directional deck rip in both directions, while remaining floaty and powerful. Plus, the Split Channel mounting system gives the rider unlimited stance options. The Burton Landlord Splitboard makes earning you backcountry turns that much easier.
Rocker Type
S-Rocker™ - Speed and float are your friends, and that's what S-Rocker™ is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, then transitions to camber between your feet. Compressing the camber causes the entry rocker to lift the nose, thus improving float while maintaining momentum and stability through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions.

Flex
Directional Flex - This flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
Infinite Ride™ - This Burton-exclusive technology allows Burton to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Shape
Balanced Freeride Geometry - Twin or directional? Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate with setback camber and sidecut that are centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
Directional - The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Taper: 17 mm - A tapered shaped mean the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow floatation.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Core
FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduce weight. Further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in Burton's park-focused boards.
Dualzone™ EGD™ - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Laminates
45˚ Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage - Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 45˚ fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
Base
Sintered Base - Durable and highly porous, get added durability and superior wax absorption for greater overall glide.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Topsheet
GMP Mountain Dew™ Recycled PET Topsheet
Binding Compatibility
Split Channel - Go ahead and get picky with your splitboarding stance, and continue to fine-tune it as the season unfolds. With the Split Channel, you get the strongest, fastest, easiest, and most adjustable mounting system ever offered on a splitboard. The days of compromise are officially over. ALL BURTON SPLITBOARDS WITH THE SPLIT CHANNEL COME WITH PUCKS PRE-MOUNTED FOR EASY SETUP!

Specs

  • Terrain: Splitboarding
    Splitboarding
A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
This features rocker in the nose and a camber extending under the feet through the tail. It is Built for riders that demand superior grip, stability, and responsive performance, but who still want to be able to float in powder.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
