Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2015

Burton Shop all Burton
A true O.G. in the game, the Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2015 is a less aggressive version of the Burton Custom. It's like if Mike Tyson never left the ring. Built to dominate any aspect of snowboarding, from barbeque'ing and swilling beers in the parking lot, to park shredding and pow slaying, but in a slightly less aggressive way than the Custom. Sintered WFO bases, SuperFly II core with EGD and Squeezebox make the Custom lightweight, poppy, and sturdy; a combination perfect for crushing all conditions. Simplify your ride with the Burton Custom. It's made for the mountain life, just like you are, dude.
Rocker Type
Flying V™ - A blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside of your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and powerful turns.
Flex
Twin Flex - The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Shape
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Directional - The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Core
Super Fly II™ - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduce weight. Further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in Burton's park-focused boards.
Dualzone™ EGD™ - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Squeezbox - This improves performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from where it originates beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board more stable and easily manipulated.

Laminates
45˚ Carbon Highlights - Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve desired ride characteristics. 45˚ Fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
Base
Sintered WFO Base - Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season.
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Frostbite Edges - Frostbite edges extend out slightly beneath bindings for trememndous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don't, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining smooth, flowing, and forgiving.
Additional Features
Infinite Ride™ - Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Binding Compatibility
The Channel - Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride, Freestyle, Powder
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Roc/Cam/Roc/Cam/Roc
    Roc/Cam/Roc/Cam/Roc
This is a blend of camber and rocker, for the best of both worlds: rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath the bindings there are camber zones for focused edge-control for added pop and power through turns.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
