Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2013

The venerable Custom, now with the option of a Flying V™ rocker profile rather than the traditional full camber, the Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard combines a subtle pop with insane carving ability and do-it-all versatility. Burton throws every tech feature in its arsenal into this board, and it shows.
Rocker Type
Flying V™ - A blend of Camber and Rocker, for the best of both worlds: rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for added pop and power through turns.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5, A medium flex for easy turn initiation without giving up stability at speed
Infinite Ride™ - This Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Shape
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Sidecut
Directional - The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition
Core
Super Fly II™ Core - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight - further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in their park boards.
Dual Zone™ EGD™ - Engineered Grain Direction manipulates the angles and direction of wood grains in the core for superior edge-hold, response, and durability.
Squeezebox - This improves performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from where it originates beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board more stable and easily manipulated.

Laminates
Triax™ Fiberglass - Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred
Carbon I-Beam - This ultra-light carbon backbone increases pop and longitudinal snap.
Lightning Bolts - Radiating outward from beneath your feet, these energy transfer strands allow us to make the board more responsive without making it stiff. The Hi-Voltage version features energy transfer strands woven into the fiberglass both above and below the board’s core for better power and response.

Sidewalls
10:45™ Sidewalls - 10:45’s extra-meaty, dual angle geometry results in better impact absorption and durability.
Base
Sintered WFO - Super fast base that retains wax well, 50% recycled content
Diecut Base Color - Combinations may vary
Edges
Frostbite Edges - Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edgehold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining forgiving in softer conditions.
Topsheet
20-30% Recycled Content
Graphics
Eliminated printing chemicals - uses more eco-friendly inks then traditional printing methods
Additional Features
Gondola Package - Setting the benchmark with boards that are lighter, faster, and stronger for more air, quicker turns, and more fun no matter what the terrain or conditions
Binding Compatibility
The Channel - Gives you the ability to micro adjust your stance and is compatible with Burton EST™, Re:Flex™ and Disc bindings, as well as bindings from Forum, Drake, Union, Flow, Flux, Ride, and K2 with adapter

Comments about Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2013:

I love this board so far. I usually go over 15 times every season and so far this board has it all. Its flexibility is great & it pops! I use it with the Burton Malavita EST bindings and this combo is amazing. There's so much you can do. I highly recommend this board. Design is simple and lets everyone know what board you're riding.

Comments about Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2013:

This is the best snowboard i have! This is way better than my sierra stunt. Carves great and doesn't get unstable when you go really fast. Took it to the woods a couple of days and it did have minor dings, but that cannot be avoided.

      Smooth and Stable

      By Joe

      from Stevens Pass

Comments about Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2013:

Flying V makes powder easy and holds a carve like it's on rails. I felt the overall stiffness left a bit to be desired but prefer big stiff sticks. Still a fun ride.

My buddy was riding on a pretty old cheap beginners board. I got him this one as a wedding gift and he cannot stop talking about how much of an upgrade it is. His biggest comment to me was how much faster it is than his last board. super fast.

Before this board, I've always had pain in my knees and muscle fatique from the rental borads. I was extremely happy not to feel any pain in my knees after riding on this board. This borad is forgiving, easy-to-ride, easy-to-turn and very stable. I only wished that I bought this earlier in the season so that I could have enjoyed this board more often before the season ended in southern california. I hope to grow with this borad and improve my skills in many seasons to come. Highly recommended.

Comments about Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2013:

I'm coming from a full reverse camber board (Burton Custom V-Rocker) and wanted to give this board a try.

The board def held on icy conditions and on rough patches. Much better than the V-rocker! However, it was not as easy to turn as the v-rocker. Def will take some time to get used to but once I get used to it, I'm sure i'll like it better since its more stable.

A great board. I got in some last minute riding before the season was over and all I can say is WOW the board has POP. I went off of a few jumps bombing the hill and I must've flew 10 yards long. This board was made to "Fly" Hence the name flying V. This is a great board and I recommend it to all.

Great board. I was afraid when i bought it due to a few negative reviews about high speed riding and hardpack but most of this critics were not true. On icy conditions, this board does not ride at all. For all moutain, powder, hard snow, fresh snow, jumps, jibs, pipe...PERFECT
