Product Info

A true O.G. in the game, the Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard 2015 is a less aggressive version of the Burton Custom. It's like if Mike Tyson never left the ring. Built to dominate any aspect of snowboarding, from barbeque'ing and swilling beers in the parking lot, to park shredding and pow slaying, but in a slightly less aggressive way than the Custom. Sintered WFO bases, SuperFly II core with EGD and Squeezebox make the Custom lightweight, poppy, and sturdy; a combination perfect for crushing all conditions. Simplify your ride with the Burton Custom. It's made for the mountain life, just like you are, dude.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Flying V™A blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside of your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and powerful turns.

Flex

Twin FlexHaving a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.

Shape

DirectionalDirectional is the original snowboard shape. It is designed with a slightly longer nose, to concentrate the pop in the tail. This board will give you plenty of floatation, fluidity, and control to rip.

Pro-Tip™A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

Core

Super Fly II™The Super Fly ll™ core uses stronger and lighter woods in specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduce weight; creating a further optimized float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in Burton's park-focused boards.

Dualzone™ EGD™The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold, and added strength.

SqueezeboxBurton's Squeezebox improves your boards performance by balancing thicker more powerful core sections in with thinner more flexible sections. In translation, Squeezebox enhances your connectivity to your snowboard which will create an amazingly stable, responsive and predictable ride.

Laminates

45˚ Carbon HighlightsCarbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve desired ride characteristics. 45˚ Fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

Base

Sintered WFOSintered bases are super-fast. Polyethylene pellets are forced together under extremely high pressure. The result is a singular piece of connected pellets with tiny pores across the entire base. Then, Burton infuses a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered base which results in an ultra-durable, smooth and fast base all season long.

Die-Cut BaseBase color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Edges

Frostbite EdgesFrostbite edges extend out slightly beneath bindings for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don't, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining smooth, flowing, and forgiving.

Additional Features

Infinite Ride™Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Binding Compatibility

The Channel™Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.
