When you ride the Burton CK Nug Snowboard, remember that you're carrying on the legacy of Craig Kelly -- the Godfather of freeride snowboarding. Fully cambered just like the board Craig would've ridden, the CK Nug features a squashed shape with a wider platform that allows the rider to size down in length without sacrificing float or performance. Directional in shape but symmetrical in flex, the Burton CK Nug Snowboard lets you view the mountain and all of it's contours as a canvas for you to paint however you so please.
Camber – Powerful, poppy, and precise for a snappy suspension that offers continuous edge control from tip to tail.
Twin Flex – Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Directional – Directional is the original snowboard shape. It is designed with a slightly longer nose, to concentrate the pop in the tail. This board will give you plenty of floatation, fluidity, and control to rip.
Side Effects – This patented design lengthens the surface area at the tip and tail contact points to improve edge-hold and allow the board to plane easier in pow. Enjoy a livlier feel and enhanced grip on groomers along with added float for overhead days.
*Size Down* – Burton recommends that riders downsize 4-5 cm from the board they normally ride.
FSC™ Certified Super Fly® 800G Core – Lightened up and loaded with pop, Burton's dual-species wood core utilizes dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifice in strength or performance.
Dualzone™ EGD™ – The wood grain is positioned perpendicularly along the toe and heel edges. Engineered Grain Direction provides you with consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Squeezebox – Burton's Squeezebox improves your boards performance by balancing thicker more powerful core sections in with thinner more flexible sections. Meaning you get enhanced board connectivity, response and predictability.
Triax™ Fiberglass – This laminate gives the board an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. The result is a board that remains smooth and stable.
Sintered – Durable and highly porous. Sintered bases add durability to the deck and have superior wax absorption making for fast ride.
Pro-Tip™ – A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility and easier spins.
Infinite Ride™ – Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
The Channel™ – Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major binding companies (not just Burton’s).
