Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012: Bataleon’s ruthless all mountain directional killer. It’s like a limo on crack; the Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard takes on the mountain with stability and speed and a mindset to destroy. The new and improved TBT nose dynamics dramatically increase the float in powder and make this board perfect for blasting through all snow conditions with a smile on your face. The directional TBT makes the Undisputed carve like a butcher’s knive through hot, buttery pork. As an added bonus, Bataleon gave the Undisputed a “backseat” mounting position for the deep, deep days.
Flex
Flex Rating: (1stiff – 10 soft) 3-4-4 very soft and flexible. (Note: Bataleon operates of a flex rating, not measured by stiffness. A more flexible board will have a higher number rating associated with it.)
The Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012 features Bataleon's Freeride TBT™. Wait… what does that mean? Freeride Triple Base Tech is optimized for all mountain freeriding. A narrow center base provides fast edge to edge transition, and bigger uplift in the nose bases creates super floating powder wings. The middle base is set back, putting more power under your back foot.
Construction and Core
Reactor Core is a poplar core with hardwood enforcements along the sidewalls, delivering precise, powerful turns.
Carbon stringers are added to save weight while adding strength and pop
Back Seat Inserts let you drop your stance all the way back so you can keep riding on deep, deep days
Party Pattern binding setup is 4x2 / 20 inserts that make putting on your bindings a super custom party
Tri-ax laminates over and under the core delivers precision in your riding
Shape
This board features a directional shape, flex and setback TBT base and binding inserts.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sintered Base has great wax absorption and is still tough, but have to be waxed more regularly than an extruded base to get the most out of them.
Lightning edges are thinner than average and enable you to carve with more feeling and precision.

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012:

Boy, did I have a ton of fun riding this board. As a beginner, I admittedly have always had some hard crashes from catching an edge. The Triple Base Technology helped me ride without fail. I had so many advanced riders warn me of the TBT because it would affect my riding. Little did I know that it would affect my riding in such a positive way! I highly recommend that if you are a beginner and have trouble just plain staying up, that you try out a Bataleon board so that you can actually enjoy yourself.

End the tyranny of touchy edges that make you spend more time on the ice than floating on the powder. Get Triple Base Technology!

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012:

I've been riding an Undisputed since 2009. When my thrashed base started feeling slow, I thought I'd try the 2012 shape. The new Undisputed is a stunning, sleek looking craft, but there are a few things that I'm not stoked on.

First, the new base grind is very fine. I ride "wetter" tahoe snow and a medium gring is what all the techs around here prefer.

The "back seat" inserts are good...but also a bit of a gimmick, considering they actually removed the second to last inserts in the process. If you want to do the all mtn thing on this board, you might not want to have your bindings quite that far back. They should have removed the top inserts instead, since no one in their right mind would ever use them on this model.

The new shape removes about 4 mm of effective edge from previous years...maybe o.k. for the park geared boards, but not the best idea for their big mtn stick.

But what ultimately made me return it was the base die cuts. All the 2012 bases on the undisputed are different...and it appears none of them are even close to the stock photos. Mine had all the lettering the exact same shade of off-white, except one letter, which was slightly brighter. It just looked sloppy on this high-end board...kinda like a factory second (it wasn't). I've since seen a few more 2012 undisputed bases and they all look junky (there's even some with a few clear letters, if you're into that).

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012:

This board diffinently takes getting used to but after four runs I was loving it. Just have to remember to dig a little deeper when carving but if you learn to do that you will love this board. The tbt technologly lets you go from edge to edge very quickly and it is so easy to ride flat on the board without catching any edges.

        TBT is real

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2012:

Bataleon is up and coming and they're going to be around for awhile. One of the few brands that's coming up with new technology that isn't a twist on somebody else's. The Triple Base Technology (TBT) is definitely different and takes some getting used to. The advantages I see are quick edge to edge maneuverability, What does that means? Your going to be able to make quick decisive turns. Great for in chutes, trees or dodging gapers. TBT is also fast, super fast. I don't know if it's because of the smaller surface area in contact with the snow but it's scary fast and when your making a turn you'll actually have more of your base in contact with the snow giving you better stability and control. If you like going fast and riding pow then you'll like this board.
