Product Details

Rocker Type

Jib 3BTBataleon Jib 3BT shapes are tuned with true twin shapes, soft flexes and the widest centerbase in the range for locked in presses, stable slides and powerful ollies. These boards feature the longest section of edge uplift in the line, which starts around the bindings and extends outward, offering a loose, buttery, forgiving feel and less hang-ups.

Flex

Flex Rating: 2 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)FLLLLEEEXXXY. This board gets down in the park. Lower than your uncles slammed cadillac. Ultra-buttery and the best flex for style-filled park runs.

Core

Core CoreDual density full wood core composed of poplar with beech running tip to tail along the insert packs. The added beech hardwood strengthens the board's backbone under the bindings and produces more pop from tip to tail while still offering a comfortable lateral flex.

Laminates

Bi Ax LaminateBataleon bi-axial or two-way fiberglass is a 90-degree weave of fiberglass placed under and atop the core to strengthen and add pop to the board. Fiberglass is placed at a 45-degree angle rather than a 90-degree angle to the edge so you get better overall board feel, flex and edging. Bi-ax layups create a really maneuverable board, one that you can almost steer with your feet.

Composite FleeceJust like you put a fleece layer on for cold days, Bataleon adds a layer of composite material around the inserts of the board for strength and more rapid and precise power transfer from your bindings.

Base

Die-Cut BaseBase color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Extruded BaseNot your cheap, run-of-the-mill extruded base. Bataleon gets the highest quality extruded base money can buy with the highest molecular content. Their extruded bases are durable, fast, simple to repair and require little to no waxing to keep them gliding. They finish it with a proper hot wax before they leave the factory.

Comments about Bataleon Disaster Snowboard 2016:

This is probably my main board that I ride every time I head up to the mountains. I mainly ride park so this board is always with me. I just love the way it handles everything that I need it to do. Super duper soft and playful yet it has the strength to absorb sketchy landings. Usually boards this soft I get speed wobbles and wash out on landings but on this Bataleon board was made to finish what you start. Im super happy with it and can't wait for the rest of the season!

Comments about Bataleon Disaster Snowboard 2016:

Best park board I've ever owned. Edges are a little catchy outta the box, especially if you are not used to having camber under/between your feet. I de-tuned the edges outside of the bindings towards the tip and tail. That smooths out the ride, and now I have a surfy, catch-free, poppy board that locks really good on jibs and gets good lift off kickers. Love the triple base as it lets you ride "lazy" and not worry about catching an edge after de-tuning. I don't hit massive jumps, so can't say how well it holds up on big air landings. I'm ~175 pounds and ride the 151 just fine. Haven't tested on powder yet.

They say extruded bases are "slow." But Bataleon's materials must be top notch cuz I'm still blowing by everyone on groomers early morning and late day in the slushy chop. No wax other than whatever came from the factory.

Also, with 10% off from Evo and 10% cash back from Active Junky, it was only ~$225 net.
