For the women that take on big mountains, Arbor wants to feed your dominant nature with the Arbor Swoon Snowboard. There's no way to categorize big mountain riding, and that's the reason why we all like it. Arbor's included The System True Rocker for the best all-terrain performance rocker, and when combined with the Mountain-Twin shape with a slight setback, you can enter the powder floating stance zone (yes, that's what it's called). A Mixed Glassing laminate and a Mixed Poplar-Bamboo core gives the Swoon serious durability and preparedness for the backcountry. The Out of Bounds is calling your name, just make sure you're prepared with the Arbor Swoon Snowboard.
Rocker Type
The System - True Rocker - The System is Arbor's rocker platform. Rocker is created by replacing the lengthwise positive arc of a traditional camber snowboard with a reverse shape similar to the profile of a surfboard. The design eliminates the leverage required to release and re-engage a camber snowboard's outside contact points, creating a more seamless ride. Rocker delivers easier turn initiation, cleaner tracking across the snow, better float in powder, and more fluid spins and slides.
Flex
Medium Flex - Solid balance of responsiveness and flex for a dialed in park performing board while maintaining performance all over the mountain.
Shape
Mountain-Twin - A shorter tail than nose gives this board a slightly setback feeling keeping the board on top of the snow and perfect starting point for progression.
Core
Power Ply Top - Structural, performance enhancing bamboo. Protective film laminated to the power ply tops contains 30% bio-plastic and eliminates the need for toxic clear coats.
100% poplar wood core for durability and return
Laminates
Mixed Glassing - A triax / biax blend for all-mountain shredding.
Ply [topsheet] - Premium natural bamboo
Sidewalls
360-Degree Full Wrap Sidewalls - Durability and impact resistance
Base
Sintered Base - A faster, more durable material.
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 14-Pack Inserts - Creating maximum stance adjustability.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride, Powder
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
