Watch the Arbor Abacus Snowboard descend a mountain and you'll notice two things. One, it's aggressive like a tank busting through a skyscraper, and two, it's also the most graceful and fluid ride you can even imagine. The System True Rocker design works amazingly in backcountry conditions because it still maintains a large amount of snow contact for control and speed. You can expect the Abacus to last a while too, considering the carbon fiber reinforcements, 360-Degree Full Wrap Sidewalls, Stainless Steel protectors on the nose and tail, and Mixed Glassing lamination - it's actually got more armor than a tank. For the gnarliest of mountains, you'll need the attacking power of the Arbor Abacus Snowboard. *This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.*

Rocker Type
The System - True Rocker – The System is Arbor's rocker platform. Rocker is created by replacing the lengthwise positive arc of a traditional camber snowboard with a reverse shape similar to the profile of a surfboard. The design eliminates the leverage required to release and re-engage a camber snowboard's outside contact points, creating a more seamless ride. Rocker delivers easier turn initiation, cleaner tracking across the snow, better float in powder, and more fluid spins and slides.

Medium Flex – The most versatile flex in the game for peak performance all over the mountain.

Mountain-Twin – A shorter tail than nose gives this board a slightly setback feeling keeping the board on top of the snow and perfect starting point for progression.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Rocker A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.

Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
