The Salomon Savage Boa STR8JKT Snowboard Boots combine both the unique tech of the Savage boot with the revolutionary Boa® technology. Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5, perfect for all mountain riding
Liner
Balance Liners - This tightening liner now distributes the pressure around your entire ankle and calf for a more comfortable ride.
Custom Fit - Throughout the entire boot Salomon has placed heat moldable, multi-density foam in the sensitive areas of the foot, shin, ankle and heel for a superb fit.
Wash & Wear - You can wash it like a t-shirt. New materials and specific construction of liners doesn't require glue, thus making them easy to wash.
Lacing System
Sure-Lock - Sure-Lock keeps your lacing tight and fastened all day long. Whether you're shredding double blacks or cruisin' down greens, your lacing will always be secure.
Boa® + STR8JKT - Combing the ease of Boa® Coilier technology along with the STR8JKT internal lacing Salomon has created an amazing support system without having to flex your muscles to tighten your boots.

    Intermediate-Advanced
    The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.

    Medium
    The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

So I walked around the house for a few hours to break them in, make sure they were the right size as my pervious pair was .5 smaller (but was a bit too snug) this was a perfect fit.

Went up to Snoqualimie pass a few days ago to try them out (they are a bit big for the size as in boot print size, my bindings are Burton Custom ESTs on my Custom EST board and it seems to be a bit tight fit (i think they are M size bindings, they fit a size 9.5 DC Scout boots fine)

anyway, got strapped in and wow. impressed. solid control and response, ran through black and blue like nothing. my friend got hurt so we had to walk back from summit west to summit central, at least 1 mile (maybe 2) and wow. Not ideal for hiking but didn't kill my feet. My DCs would have hurt much more. No pressure points for me.
