Pressure points are sure to ruin any great powder day. Luckily for us the Salomon F3.0 Snowboard Boots have taken care of this problem. The Easy-In and Self Gel foam make it simple to stomp into your boots, keeping you comfortable all day long. If what you're longing for is a low-key and commodious boot pick up the Salomon F3.0 Snowboard Boots!
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6, perfect for freeriding and racing
Fit
Breathable Valve - A one-way valve to keep moisture out and exhaust old air, that would otherwise break down your liner and decrease comfort
Liner
Fusion Liners - Salomon's patented LCG (Low Center of Gravity) Fusion Liner™ gives you a more direct and increase feel for you and your board.
Self Gel - Dynamic foam that will change throughout the day to conform to your foot as it moves, Self Gel is found throughout the ankle area (the most active area in your boot).
Lacing System
Wrap Lock - With one single pull you'll be able to tighten three power panels and a fuse-in liner around your foot. It's inspired by running shoes so your feet feel as if their lighter then air.
Sure-Lock - Sure-Lock keeps your lacing tight and fastened all day long. Whether you're shredding double blacks or cruisin' down greens, your lacing will always be secure.
Footbed
Conform'able Footbeds - Pre-shaped footbed with stabilized and patented arch flex support that ensures improved pressure distribution
Sole
Aero Soles - Extremely lightweight and able to absorb monster impacts with an ultra-thin construction, the running shoe inspired Aero gives you one of the lightest soles around.
Additional Features
Easy-In - A gliding patch has been placed at the entrance of the liner so your heel will easily glide into your boot.

Comments about Salomon F3.0 Snowboard Boots 2013:

I do a lot of all mountain riding and hiking. The boot is comfortable and if the lacing system would stay tight, I would recommend this boot. But when riding in moderate to demanding conditions, the upper lace hold mechanism looses it's grip resulting in a sloppy feel while riding. It seems like every few runs I must re-tighten the laces, just to have them come loose again in a few runs. Not sure if this a common problem with the boot (design flaw), but I have been sent a new upper hold replacement from Salomon warranty - new part, same problem. Is anyone else having this problem with this boot?

Comments about Salomon F3.0 Snowboard Boots 2013:

I've owned a couple of boots to date: ThirtyTwo's Lashed, Salomon's Dialogue, and now these.

These are a "reduced footprint" type boot. I ordered a size 9 and it really does have the same footprint as my size 9 Nike running shoes. The liner is not as thick or plush as Salomon's regular boots, but I suppose that should be expected given the smaller footprint.

Similar to the Dialogues and most high end boots, the top and bottom can be tightened independently. There's no pinching anywhere on the boot even when tightened to a maximum. As you tighten them, the boot can get very stiff, good for all mountain folks, maybe not the best for those that rarely venture out of the park. The ankle is not articulated which adds to the stiffness.

If I had to buy again, I would. The Velcro strap over the toe can get annoying as its not as easy to get it as snug as I want it, at least not as easy as the more costly F4.0 boot. I was unsure if Velcro would be as reliable, but i haven't had issues with it loosening during the day or breaking down after several days of use. Considering the tech between the two is near identical, it was hard to justify the extra $100 in cost to fix a minor issue.
