    Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.

    Very Stiff
    The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

      I jumped ship from my Burton Ion's, which I loved, but the lacing system was unreliable and ultimately failed. I love the Boa system and I am an official convert now. They're wicked stiff but that's why I bought them, and the adjustability of the BOA laces allows you to go as tight or loose as you want. Buy them.

        The Ride Insano Focus is a stiff boot. If you have a stiff board and a stiff binding, then this will be a good pairing. The double BOA lacing system is easy and comfortable, however both boas seem to tighten around the ankle in the same place. So my advice is keep one tighter and one looser. These aren't for the park or for tricks, but if you like to ride fast and need the stability, then these are awesome. Uncomfortable at 1st, but after a couple of uses they seemed to mold to my feet and now they feel great.

          I like the double boa aspect. Once you have tried this you will never go back. It has a nice comfortable liner. I normally take a size 10, but a 9 1/2. fit perfect. This is a stiff boot, great for charging and going fast. If you want flex this is not for you.

            I love the comfort and the ease of the lacing system on these boots. They're the easiest stiff boots I've ever put on becuase they so easily open a lot with the BOA lacing system, and I have both of them off my feet in less then 10 seconds.

            When you slip your feet into these even without doing the heat molding of the lining, they feel completely supportive without any pinch points.

            This is the most satisfied with a boot purchase I have ever been.

                This boot is comfy and stiff. Exactly what I wanted. I also have a wide foot and these fit great. Lacing with the boa is the only way to go. Used to be a die hard traditional lace up guy, but not any more. Only problem I see is the sole could wear out fast due to no rubber on it. And the ice picks are cool but if you walk in the parking lots they just wear out. Would love to see a rubber sole , but otherwise a awesome boot
