Comments about Ride Cadence Focus Boa Snowboard Boots - Women's 2015:

I am a middle age female snowboarder with really difficult feet to fit. One foot is 1/2 size larger than the other and I have very thin heels. I can lift my heels inside most snowboard boots by a couple of inches. I have the Ride Cadence Boa Women's boots from a few years ago, but I bought a 1/2 size too small and my feet cramped. I had them stretched and stretched, but I finally gave up and bought new boots.

The good: comfortable boots that are pretty stiff and responsive with a good internal lacing system (critical to keep my heels from lifting). They fit my difficult to fit feet well.

The not so good: 1) the velcro around the top of the boot liner sticks to everything and I am pretty sure I'm going to cut it off. For those ladies with tiny calves, this might be helpful. To me, it's just super annoying.

2) When Ride added the velcro strap to the top of the boot liner, they put a loop for it on the boot liner tongue. This loop interferes with the liner lacing system. I had to really work on how to get the connector on the little tab and then it just kept falling off when I went to tighten the liner. After myself and my BFF at my local snowboard shop worked on it a while, we worked out a way to pop it into place where it will stay. This is a big change from the previous version of the boot. The previous boot didn't have the loop to interfere and it just went right on there, but never popped. It also rarely ever fell off. This connection actually pops pretty loudly, so you know it's connected. I don't think it will ever fall off because it is seriously connected.

Overall, the boots are really good for me. I cannot stand up in them and on my smaller foot the heel movement is minimal. I haven't gotten to ride in them yet because we don't have snow. I can't wait to use these boots!

Comments about Ride Cadence Focus Boa Snowboard Boots - Women's 2015:

The biggest disadvantage to boas is the fit as people say, and this boot overcomes those issues. The way the boa wires crisscross is very important, and this boot offers value for the money.
There were a few double boa boots the past few seasons with the internal harness - and these have always been my best bets.
especially nice if you are short with muscular calves--I'm guessing most snowboarders have pretty strong calves. if you're short you're going to appreciate the liner strap at the top, because my liners always pop out! this is especially true if you're asian with radish legs.
i adjust my flex and fit constantly as I learn, and I just can't imagine being able to get that done that quickly on the mountain with laces.
five days into the season and I'm having a good time! surprised that I didn't have to break them in at all.
