K2 Thraxis Snowboard Boots 2015

The K2 Thraxis Snowboard Boots were made to change the perceptions of what a high performance snowboard boot can do. With K2's new Harshmellow™ technology that dampens your landings and step as well as a 3D formed dual density outsole, these boots are about of comfortable as it gets. With 3 Boa®'s on the boot to cinch tight different areas as well as a power strap on the tongue, you can customize this boot 7 ways to Sunday, or 2 if today is Friday. Regardless, the Thraxis is a boot that is made for the snowboarder that wants maximum control and comfort.
9 Flex - On a scale of 1 to 10, these boots are a 9, offering a very stiff flex rating for optimal control and support.
Internal and External J-Bars - Full body reinforcement for heel hold and control
Dual density 3D formed tongue
Endo™ Construction - Consistent flex and fit for life // A complete rethink of how a boot is constructed and flexes, Endo brings precise, engineered flex that stays consistent from day one through the life of the boot. Also, the 100% urethane Endo structure adds a lively, energetic feel that reduces fatigue and just feels good. The Endo construction is based on a urethane endsoskelital structure that focuses boot structure and flex into a single engineered part. The result is a structure that flexes and returns without breaking down when compared to the stitch and glue construction of traditional boots. You get consistent flex and boot that returns to a neutral riding position quicker and with more energy, which helps you ride longer.
Intuition™ Pro-Foam 3D - High density thermo-forming Ultralon® foam
Integrated Asymmetrical Power Strap - Integrated power strap for extra support and stay-tight closure
External AEPE cage
Lacing System
Boa® Conda™ - K2 Patented technology allows you to adjust your liner without untying your boot - offers superior heel retention focus.
Boa® Focus - Upper and lower zone independent tightening provides even tightening with low friction guides. The upper coiler comes with an auto retract option.
3D molded Dual EVA insole - Soft and durable sole with Harshmellow™ pods for added comfort
Vibram® Pro-Light outsole with Harshmellow™ - Combining Vibram's® 70 years of experience in outsole design with K2's 25 years of snowboarding knowledge provides the very best outsole. Focused on durability, weight reduction, grip and Harshmellow™ dampening

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Lacing System: Boa®
  • Warranty: 1 Year
