Ultimate Articulation Technology - Consisting of an internal neoprene ankle that provides solid heel hold without restriction or bulk, the liner and shell work seamlessly to allow the rider to flex freely side-to-side.
Fit
3D Tounges
Molded Backstays
Liner
Bravo LIner - Features Multi Density Zones, Neoprene Ankle Strap and Anatomical J-Bars which allow for a more custom fit. The liner also features Aegis coating that eliminates bacteria and fungus that cause odors and deterioration
Internal Ankle Harness - Provides additional ankle support without the hassle of laces
Lacing System
Constrictor Hybrid System - Constrictor Closure on the lower provides support and heel hold, while laces on the top allows you to ride your boot as tight or loose as you want. Together they ad a customizable fit on both the upper and lower zones
Direct Power Lacing - Strategically placed overlays in the boot’s upper provide more power and leverage for optimal shell closure.
Wrap Lock - This allows you to secure your laces from slipping by simply wrapping around the hardware. It can turn your traditional lace boots into a zonal closure system by locking the lace at key points.
Boa® Coiler - Automatically winds in slack lace for easy on-and-off
Sole
UniLite™ - This sole provides traction, durability, dampening and cushioning, while drastically reducing the weight of the boot. The snow shedding traction designs also prevent snow from building up and clogging bindings.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Comments about DC Gizmo Snowboard Boots 2013:

I am a ski and Snowboard instructor at Saddleback Maine. I am on the snow at least 4 days a week. That being said my gear takes a beating. This boot has held up great since I purchased it half way through the season. It's really comfy, looks great, and the adjustability of it is amazing. The traditional lacing on the upper part of the boot is great. You can ride as loose as you want or as stiff which I love.

My only complaint would be that the cushioning that the footbed provides could be better. If you are going to be hitting bigger jumps and taking some deep landings I would replace them with a better footbed.
