Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots 2013

Regardless of what it sounds like or whatever you've heard, you won't be whipped or slapped with rulers if you wear the Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots. Instead you will be given an amazing tool to help you step up your game to larger drops and burlier features. Burton's highly credible features like the Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction , oversized 270˚ Airbag cushioning, and stabilizing Power Spine Backstays filter top-of-the-line NASA-like technology down to the couch surfer's salary. Newly redesigned with Burton's industry exclusive Total Comfort Construction for that perfectly broken in feel, right out of the box.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6, perfect for all-day comfort and performance
Lightweight Power Panels - To ensure consistent flex from day 1 to 100, this boot features strategically placed Power Panels that return to their original position even after being deeply flexed.
Fit
Medium Flex 3D® Molded Tongues - Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
Lock-Up Cuff - This new, super low-profile inner cuff carries the laces across the forefoot, and around the ankle for ultimate heel hold with effortless entry and exit.
Power Spine Backstays - These seamless backstays allow for fine-tuned medial/lateral support, edge-to-edge response, and maximum durability.
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint one size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, and sleeker means that you will never have to suffer from toe drag again.
Total Comfort Construction - An instantly broken-in feel right out of the box
Liner
Imprint™ 2 Liner
Heat Moldable - Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, your feet will be wrapped with comfort in this boot. Ride them right out of the box or shape them to your foot with Burton's EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
Inner Lace Lock - Quick-lock design keeps your heels locked down all day. Exit's a cinch with the one-handed release tab.
VELCRO® Brand Fastener Liner Closure - This secures the liner in place around your foot. J-Bar adjustable heel system slides into the heel pocket for added support.
NEW Man Fur
Lacing System
Speed Zone™ Lacing - Customize the fit of the upper and lower zone in seconds, allowing for a lightning fast lace up. With less effort you get more rebound, more wrap, and better response. Used by stunt men, firefighters, and rescue teams, this lace material is virtually indestructible.
Footbed
Level 1 Molded EVA Footbed
Sole
Lightweight Outsole with 270° Airbag Cushioning - A super lightweight outsole with a larger airbag that covers approximately 75% of the midsole for unstoppable impact protection and reduced weight.
Additional Features
Rubber Toe/Heel Reinforcements
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - Features internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry

Comments about Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots 2013:

I've got nothing but good things to say about the Burton Ruler, having just worn them for almost 3 weeks straight riding.

They were super comfortable and didn't seem to really have any sort of a breaking-in period. The separate upper and lower zone lacing system worked really well (lets you adjust the tightness to the width of your feet really easily) and it seems pretty durable unlike some lacing systems.

The physical imprint of the boot is a size smaller than their actual size, for someone like me with big feet (size 12) this is a nice bonus and makes it a little easier to configure bindings to fit.

I ride mostly all-mountain freestyle and the Ruler felt good on everything from steeps to the park.

Comments about Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots 2013:

I am currently riding Burton size 11, and my son's size 11 Burtons fit great. These were way too small. That said, I would have returned them anyway because of the lacing system. I've had great luck with Burton products... except these boots.

Comments about Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots 2013:

I got these basesd on the foot print being reduced...in placing them up against another of the same size the 14 does have the same as my smaller 13s. Since I have purchased these at end of season I will need to wait to give usage review. Currently I did heat mold them at home and at worked very easily. I find them a good fit into both a standard and rear entry binding. The 2 pul zonesl is very nice for additional custom fit. The beginner would find these a nice boot to make the binding choices less of a worry but the park rider may find them stiff as the rating is up higher in the Burton scale. I can't wait to put them to use though as in the rental Burton boot I had from Apen these were more comfortable out of the box (even before heat molding.
