All the power, moisture wicking and comfort features of the Burton Ion, in a rugged, burly Red Wing leather construction. The Burton Ion Leather Snowboard Boots feature heritage Red Wing leather, along with a swath of features that make this boot a keeper. Shred hard, all day, without a thought in the world about how tired, sore or wet your feet are, because they aren't, thanks to Burton's Total Comfort Construction and plethora of moisture wicking Dryride features. An 8 out of 10 flex completes the package, for shred heads that demand a stiff yet comfortable boot for long days on the hill.
Flex
Flex Rating: 8 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - A stiff flex for shredding hard anywhere on the mountain.
Firm Flex PowerUP Tongue - For greater rebound and durability, the majority of Burton boots feature this dual density tongue construction, available in three flex options based on the boot.
GripLITE Backstay - Snugging up the fit between boot and hi-back, our new rubber print backstays also shave weight and enhance material-to-material grip. The result of this printed rubber application is more direct transfer from boot to binding to board for reduced rider fatigue.
Fit
Outer Shell Pressure Relief Panel - Ultra-soft gel cushioning is fused to the area where the ankle strap rests on the boot for even pressure distribution when bindings are cranked tight.
Total Comfort Construction - Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort's industry-exclusive construction eliminates the break-in period for a fit that feels just as good from opening day to day 100.
Liner
Infinite Ride™ 4 Liner - Sewn liners are an industry standby and that's why Burton decided to break the mold with its stitch-less technology. Built with a 3D molding process, the Infinite Ride™ liners elevate out-of-the-box consistency for a precise fit while also enhancing the ride with greater rebound and cushioning that won't break down or pack out. They are infinitely heat-moldable, and the new asym Velcro closure creates even better wrap at the top of the liner.
DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ Lining - Warmth and wicking are two key traits for on-snow comfort. Burton's new breathable inner-lining technology utilizes interwoven thermally activated carbon fiber to capture, radiate, and reflect body heat inward to keep feet warmer while also wicking heat-robbing moisture outward for all day comfort.
Tuff Cuff with Velcro® J-Bar Interface and Inner Lace Lock - Ankle support and inner cuff stability is mandatory in a pro-level boot. Burton's solution is the Tuff Cuff, which increases heel hold and wraps the ankle with medial and lateral support while still flexing freely from toe to heel. Quick-Lock design keeps your heels locked down all day. Exit's a cinch with the one-handed release tab.
Rad Pad - Located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure, these pre-curved panels keep your feet stoked and secure.
DRYRIDE Moisture Wicking Tech

Lacing System
Speed Zone™ Lacing System - Lightning fast lacing control at its finest. Customize the fit of the upper or lower zone in seconds; because the system is so powerful, you get more rebound, more wrap and better response, all with less effort.
Footbed
Level 2 molded EVA footbed with ESS support shank, dual-density cushioning and Aegis™ Antimicrobial coating
Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil - This low-profile and lightweight underfoot technology reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort when faced with cold conditions.
Sole
Low-Profile EST® Optimized Midsole - EST® goes beyond bindings by optimizing the soles on select boots for a more direct connection. Lower-profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, EST lowers your center of gravity and improves feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening B3 Gel inserts
AutoCANT Cushioning - Dual-density EVA allows your foot to settle into a more natural and relaxed position, resulting in improved comfort, reduced fatigue, and smoother, more direct board control.
ReBounce Cushioning - More comfort and more warmth is the Burton-exclusive benefit of ReBounce Cushioning. The extra hops are accomplished by surrounding the foot with a two-layer 3D laminate of cushy PU plus reflective material, which not only reduces impact and absorbs chatter but also turns heat inward.
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint one full size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker - never suffer from toe drag again.
Additional Features
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - All Burton boot tongues feature an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet and little piggies warm and toasty.
Genuine Red Wing Leather in a Burton Boot Construction - Genuine Red Wing leather needs to be cared for accordingly. Extend the life of your boots by occasionally cleaning and treating the leather with Red Wing's shoe cream.

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Lacing System: Quick-Pull
  • Warranty: 1 Year
